So what are Peter's powers now

probably just given him his power sponge ability back, either that or he was really lucky and he only got flight.

As I said in the other thread, he was right there near Nathan. It wouldn't be impossible for him to absorb his ability to fly out of there. His scar still is there, somewhat, after the flight scene. Therefore he doesn't have his healing ability. So he was only given back his original ability of empathy.

That said, Nathan should have been able to fly out himself JUST as easy.

So Peter has his old power back now and from the last episode he should have picked up two new powers then.

The writers will probably just cop-out and give him back his list of powers before he lost them. That also creates some loop holes because Peter was near a whole host of people before Arthur took them. Peter was very close to Arthur and therefore would have all of Arthur's old powers. Peter was also close to Knox and Flint.

I think they should start him over from scratch IMO. So he has flying, Flint's powers, and most likely super strength because Mohinder was in the room as well

I think he just has empathy, and as a result has flight and possibly pyrokinesis. It would be a smarter move for the writers if he had to work his way back to getting his powers instead of just magically getting all twenty-something abilities back.

Agreed. With the writing. And it looks like he did lose his other abilities. He had a cut on his face that didn't heal after he saved Nathan.

Peters powers were always empathy. They still are. There is no reason to limit Peter to flight. The whole thing about "picking your powers" was more for those who dont have abilities activated yet(ala Nikki and Tracy while have the same genes do not have the same ability). In Peters case his power is the one he previously had.

Now whether or not he's a blank slate now. I dont know. Personally I dont think he is and the scar was just a goof on the writers part. Maybe he is a blank slate. That gets rid of the baggage of previous seasons powers. Until the writers tell us or the show says it, we do not know if peter retained the past abilities(and theres no logic avaible to say otherwise).

I'm sure he'll have to go through all the trouble of being next to Sylar again before he gets all his crazy powers back

Maybe the formula activates the power that a person has in their genes? I believe Peter has his original power + flight for now.

He'd probably overload into a coma like he did after meeting Sylar, it'd probably kill him though.

I hope he just got his base power back or some form of his base power, where he can just use the powers of those he's close to, but no keep them.

What if all he has now IS flight? This could lead to an areal battle of Brother Vs Brother.

It's definitely just his empathic mimicry ability that is restored. And the flight is all he's got gained back. So if he doesn't come into contact with Claire for the next few months this will probably be the reason why he will have the big facial scar. A blade may swipe at his face, and time will pass till it becomes a permanent scar, and pass the point of no healing if he meets up with Claire again.

Yah I'd say he got his orginal power back and that Nathan was close to him so he gained that one first. Some people say though that he has the fire power.

I think the main thing the writers wanted was to remove time travelling from Peter´s arsenal since the whole time travel thing was really killing the series.

I expect that Peter will quickly gain many abilities again though certain very powerful ones will be kept from him so that the writers don´t have to mentally cripple him again.
