What the hell are you talking about? If anything studios would want to make this more of a superhero movie with less realism. Thankfully though, Zack Snyder is directing this and he's already mentioned that costumes are in for sure.

It's not a wholly irrational fear... I seriously doubt that Snyder will go the X-men route; but don't expect a 20-foot wang flapping about in the jungle of Vietnam.

Snyder mentioned making the Nite Owl suit "scarier"... In the comic it doesn't look scary, to be sure -- and yet it scares the **** out of street thugs and the like. I think Snyder is right to err on the side of scary or gritty. I mean, if the Nite Owl suit were to be rendered exactly as it is presented in the comic, then the movie might end up looking more like The Tick live action series as opposed to Taxi Driver (a film Snyder cited as a visual influence for the film's aesthetic).

from what i can remember in a Snyder interview he said he's gonna keep the general look of the characters, with NightOwl he said he's gonna tweak it just a bit but it will still be recognizably him.

The only character I don't think is going to experience an outfit update is Rorschach. His look is already (and still) timeless.

Alba shouldn't even be mentioned for this project.
I have faith that Snyder will not touch the costumes too much. He did an excellent job in 300 of not doing that.
