What do you think the merchandising will be like with Watchmen?

Will it be similar to The Dark Knight, with the toys and the t-shirts and the costumes, etc? I certainly hope so. As long as I can get a few kickass t-shirts out of it and maybe maybe a Rorscach mask (false hope?) I would be happy.

Hey, hey, hey. Hot Topic has had some pretty good TDK crap, and if they want to come out with Watchmen stuff, I certainly wont say anything bad about it.

Yea that'll probably happen. Then we'll have tons of angry parents saying how "I thought this was based on a superhero?".

I would count on mostly DCD stuff with little or no mass market toys. Considering the tone will be darker than even TDK I don't see how they'll market this to kids.

DC Direct have already announced alot of figures and busts. No other toy company has made any comment on Watchmen, so I assume that the DC Direct figures will be the only small-scale figures released for the film.

Oh I'm not doubting the quality of their items. They did have some cool TDK stuff. That's what sucks about Hot Topic, they do have some cool stuff but then you gotta factor in that some gang of little putz tweens are probably gonna be wearing the same thing. All in all, if they make a cool shirt, I'm sure I'll be buying one.

As for the figures, I loooooove the standard DC Direct figures they've unveiled so far. They're so nice for being the basic line. I honestly want all of them. The first wave comes out a few days before my birthday and the second wave comes out two weeks after. Looks like I'll be making a room for a Watchmen collection in my room! t:
