So You Think You Can Dance SEASON 5 Discussion Thread

I got into this show last year. Friggin' awesome. Last night really did showcase the talent incredibly well because I didn't see a single weak performance. The asian girl (Asuka I think) from the broadway dance will probably be first to go for the women but I have no idea who's gonna get it on the guys end.

It was the wannabe hip hop comedic guy and his partner...not so sad to see them go.

What the hell happened? The firs week was ALL solid/great performances. Complete opposite this week. Everyone was forgettable or sucked. Looks like Shane Sparks is gonna stay with America's Best Dance Crew cuz they canned both of his dances.

last week a lot of them danced in genre. This week not so much.

I am astonished by Brandon Bryant. I was furious when they didn't take him last season.

He reminds me of Danny from season 3. Except that while Danny came of as a cold emotionless diva, Brandon is pretty much the complete opposite personality wise.

I don't really like either, though.

How the hell could they cut Max & keep Kopono? His solo sucked!

If it was solely based on the solo's, Kupono definitely should've been cut. I think the judges see he's more versatile than Max and that's what got him through.

I wasn't a huge fan of the Randi/Evan pairing but their Mia Michaels routine was HOT!

This is the second time Jason has sucked face with his partner and Jeanine is the hottest girl on the show! What the hell kinda deal does this guy have with his choreographers?

Evan and Randi need to leave.

I think Kupono is definitely done after this week, which sucks since I've enjoyed his performances the most. It's between Randi and Janette for the girls.

Yeah, he's the best at really making a character with his motions. His solo's are just too weak though and his partnership tonight didn't help him at all.

I was gonna say that. Brandon is made of awesome. How a man with his practically superhuman ability could lack confidence is beyond me. It was like watching Spider-Man move to a beat. The boy moves like he can fly. I was pissed that they cut him last year. I mean really, how do you not put a guy who can move like this in the top 20?

I'm so disgusted by last nights results. This is by far the worst season of Dance. Sigh.
