ok me n my friend jus went out and spent £381 on a 360 and accecories, and extra controller, so we load up tony hawks 8, got one controller working, but when we try to link up the other one the light jus keeps flashing, and, so i turn off the console and do like the instructions say and turn on the controller 1st then the console, still doesnt link...what do i do? cus everytime we try to play 2 player it says please connect 2nd controller.

try again, see if that controller works at all, don't use the first controller and just use that one one time

This is why I say get a wired controller as your second controller. But does anyone listen? Nooo. They have to be "completely wireless". You save money doing it my way plus you can hook up the wired controller to a PC to play games if you want on it.

Uh, hit the sync buttons on the console and controller?

Not everyone plays games on their PC. So that's a dumb point. And my two wireless controllers work perfectly fine, and I see no reason to be strapped down with a needless wire.

turn on the system, then hold the sync button on it and the controller at the same time, holding both down for about 5 seconds before releasing....that should do it

I don't use a PC, I've never had a problem with my wireless controllers, and wires are a huge liability in a college dorm.

ok i think i know where the sync button is on the controller, but where is it on the console?

Under the second memory card slot ( if the 360 is set vertically)

ok thanks guys..i got it working now!!
i had to press both sync buttons!

Yes, not doing something in the Instruction Manual is considered to be negligence on the part of the Customer, if you have a problem solved in the manual and did not read it. It is like all the people who ACTUALLY CALLED ME AND TRIED TO USE XBOX LIVE WITH DIAL UP!!!!! Your fault for not reading the manual, your fault for not reading the requirements of Live before hand. Same difference, if you know what I mean. Not saying you are dumb or anything, just I always read my manuals for things I do not know about and research before hand.
