Some impressive motion capture

Is this what's being used for the next generation? If so, i can't wait.

Whoa,IF it's for a top game being saved for a next generation console then that's a f'n great tease of things to come and would be even beyond better since that was just a tech demo and likely a launch game!!

IF it's for a 360/PS3 game then they must be going for all it's console power at full-force!!

Saw it a couple of days ago, while it's impressive the eyes still gives it away and destroy any sense of "realism".

What? The technology they're using is very impressive and it is a very realistic face over all. But as with all animated faces the eyes are hard to get right. The more realistic you get with the face movement the more you have to keep up with the eyes, otherwise it gets extremely jarring.

I'm still not sure how REAL I want games to get. Shooting something that looks photo realistic would just be.... Offputting.

At least now you can tell something is a digital creation. Sooner or later (later, obviously) games are going to look a bit TOO real for my taste... at least to play the over the top violent ones.

I'm just waiting for the first Holodeck to be invented.

It's already getting to that point for me, but it has nothing to do with the violence factor in my case. A lot of my issues with gaming in general is the apparent focus on things aside from really fun gameplay, things like increasingly realistic graphics or hours long stories with so-called mature content and so on. The priorities have shifted and that's upsetting to me.

the horrid performance makes this hard to judge, haha. Looks like old mocap technology applied to gaming.
