Songs That Make You Cry

"Ride to death" from the True Grit soundtrack, I balled like a baby in the theatre and I even balled like a baby when rewatching the film with all my friends. I'm not an emotional guy, but something about that piece of music just goes right through me.

You'll See by Modest Mouse.
Modest Mouse are my favourite band and I was going through YouTube finding songs of theirs that I had never heard before. Then, I found this. As soon as it started, I stopped everything else that I was doing, just to fully focus on what I was hearing.
The lyrics immediately grabbed me and they still haven't let me go. They are just beautiful and poetic.
It didn't have me crying my eyes out, as I don't think it should, but it definitely had a tear rolling down my face.
This is the first time a song has touched me so much and I just needed to share it.

My daughter, 13, and I are constantly at odds. The song, All I Know by Five for Fighting chokes me up. It says everything I know we both feel.

Sam Cooke. Change gon Come. Happens every. Single. Time.

I've had a lot hardship & tough times in my life, many of us have haven't we. I think the beauty, pain & sadness is of what music can do for us and how it makes us feel in our happiest moments and the saddest and for the reflection of having 'gotten through something' of emotional magnitude.
