Who You'd Be Today - Kenny Chesney

guaranteed waterworks for me, even though I've listened to 'em a million times over:

Radiohead -- "Fake Plastic Trees"

Bruce Springsteen -- "The Rising"

Gordon Lightfoot -- "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"

The Avett Brothers -- "I And Love and You"

Johnny Cash's video for "Hurt"

U2 -- "All I Want Is You," "October" and "Bad"

Harry Chapin -- "Cat's in the Cradle"

Fleetwood Mac -- "Sara"

The Eagles -- "Last Resort"

Come to think of it, "Forever Young" has been mentioned several times already in this thread, and ANY song with that title (Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart, Alphaville, Madness, Jay-Z) should automatically be banned for being too depressing.

This is my first post in this forum... so I dont have the priviledge to post a link so please dont flame me too bad :D

There is a song called Missing Person by the Kinks that will get me everytime I hear it... here are a few of the lyrics....

Have you seen this face?
Dig deep in your mind.
Has anybody seen that little girl of mine?
She was always a rover,
But I'm afraid to say she's strayed
Too far this time.

Its an amazing song...

Glee's cover of "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac

I think all of Glee's covers make me cry :woot:

letters from home - john michael montgomery

While it doesn't necessarily make me cry, damn if I don't get emotional. It takes you places...

I can't post the AMV, but there's one using The End of All Hope by Nightwish, set to scenes from Berserk. Its where Griffith sells out to the Godhand, allowing their demons to graphically slaughter, torture, and rape his mercenary company just so that he can have his emaciated and mutilated body restored. I'd been reading the manga and felt a strong connection to the Band. Seeing them go out like that really got me. :(

the ecstasy of gold - ennio morricone

Nothing Compares to You by Sinéad O'connor
Torn by Natalie Imbruglia

Both for personal reasons.

I feel like dying by lil wayne. That song is so depressing at time's and it makes you wonder what drug addicts go through.

Song has the opposite effect on me oddly. Good mention

This song gets me for some reason though

Dumbledore's Farewell, composed by Nicholas Hooper. No song makes me lose it like that. It's symphony type music, but you can feel the emotion in it. so good.

Dumbledore's Farewell from the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince soundtrack

High Hopes by Pink Floyd

I Want to Hold Your Hand, Landslide, and Turning Tables on Glee

iLiketrains- Sea of Regrets

Elliott Smith- True Love

Hands down one of the most depressing songs ever made. You're denying yourself one of the most beautiful pieces of music by ignoring this link.
