Songs you like by artists you generally don't...and vice-versa.

Where the hell are you people actually hearing Miley Cyrus and Jonas Brothers songs? The main reason I've never understood the animosity is because their songs never find their way onto any of my 6 preset radio stations.

I have kids who watch Disney Channel. And if the MIB were real, I would frantically report UFO sightings in hope of getting Miley & the JBs' songs wiped from my memory.

Let's see...
Love Prince but hate:
Tick Tick Bang
Take Me With U
Get Off
Arms Of Orion

Love Janet but hate:
Anytime Anyplace (They just played it to DEATH!)
Got Til It's Gone
the one she did w/Nelly (title escapes me)

Love Eminem but hate:
Just Lose It

Love the Isleys but hate:
Contagious

Love Michael but hate:
In The Closet
The Way You Make Me Feel
Heal The World
Girlfriend
The Girl Is Mine
You Are Not Alone
Little Suzie
and the majority of his Motown/J5 songs.

You don't like the majority of the Jackson 5 songs?!

"Stop (The Love You Save)"?
"ABC"?
"I Want You Back"?
"Who's Lovin' You"?
"Dancing Machine"?
"Blame it on the Boogie"?
"I'll Be There"?
"Mama's Pearl"?
"Never Can Say Goodbye"?
"Rockin' Robin"?

Granted, a couple of those songs were covers.

I'll break it down:
The Love You Save-good song, but not for an 11-yr old.
Who's Loving You-ditto.
I Want You Back-fun little ditty.
LOVE Dancing Machine.
Blame It On The Boogie was recorded under Epic and it is spectacular..
I'll Be There was great but Mariah actually improved on it.
Never Can Say Goodbye is awesome.
Don't care for the others.

Lyrically inspired, yes. I just think he should have left it in his poetry book & not put it on the album.

Love Mary J but hate "Someone Please Dial 911".

Kaiser Chiefs' Ruby (probably because it sounds like a Morrissey's rip-off)

Technically, I think that's more Wyclef's song than her's.

How about Heartbreak Hotel?

Who Watches The Watchmen?-The Prize Fighter Inferno

Technically, I think that's more Wyclef's song than her's.
Which may be why it's more Wyclef's fault than hers.
How about Heartbreak Hotel?
Heartbreak Hotel. Where do I begin?
First off, I loved that song before I was officially declared a Michael Jackson fan. I wasn't even aware that Elvis had a song by that title until I was 15. Once, I bought the "Live" album primarily to get that song. Everything else on there was a secondary concern.
It was the ONLY song from the "Jacksons" era (not to be confused w/the J5 era) that he did on the American leg of the Bad tour. While I would've liked to hear some of the others, I was quite content with it.
Oh-and thank you for not calling it "This Place Hotel". I hate when they do that crap.

Also, I think we can all agree that Eddie Murphy has no business singing but I can't bring myself to delete "Party All The Time" off my mp3.

I’ve never been a Green Day fan, but I like Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

Lady-Gaga Poker Face, I like how it says **** **** **** her face at one point.

This video was directed by Jhonen Vasquez, and it ain't really my kind of music, but it's catchy as hell.

DOn't like Elvis, but I like Jailhouse Rock.
Don't like Run-DMC, but I like Proud To Be Black.

I am a really big fan of U2. However, I am not a fan of "Get Your Boots On." The rest of their new album is great, but that single is one of the worst songs I have ever heard.

Beyonce- Halo

It's very catchy. :csad:

really not a huge fan of
miley cyrus but i like "I've got nerve" catchy as hell

DOn't like Fantasia but I like "WHen I See You".
Don't like Beyonce (lyrically speaking!) but I love Listen.

i just can't deny that " because of you " by nickelback is one kickass song.

I'm not a big Nickelback fan, but I love 'How You Remind Me' and 'Someday'. Chad Kroeger's voice is spectacular on those two recordings.

'I Think She Knows' interlude by Justin Timberlake was musically surprising considering that he usually samples and sonically covers a lot of other musicians work; however, that was one of the best pop pieces I've heard throughout this decade.

'Crooked Teeth' by Death Cab for Cutie is a really great song, but I don't like most of the stuff that I hear from them.

'Forgive Me' by Amy Lee is a great song.

I don't like Switchfoot, but 'Dare You to Move' is pretty good.

I actually have to completely agree with this. Same with Ne-Yo and "Ms. Independent."

As for songs I hate by artists I love:

Bruce Springsteen - "Darlington County," "Mary's Place," "Outlaw Pete," "Queen Of The Supermarket"
Elton John - "Don't Trust That Woman," "Passengers"
Billy Joel - "You Were The One," anything from An Innocent Man that was not a single (except for "This Night")

"Southern Weather" - The Almost
"I'm So Sick (Remix)" - Flyleaf
"Lovebug" - Jonas Brothers
"Strawberry Avalanche" - Owl City
"I'm Not Alright" - Sanctus Real
"XOXOXO" - Secret and Whisper
"Ordinary" - Train
