There goes PS3's 'graphical superiority' claims. I'd just like to celebrate this moment with a few words. ****ing unanimous, baby! Yeah!

Even though the Playstation 3 had more time to have a chance to change the graphics for fight night honestly I think this is an un-fair comparision.

360 has been out for a year and they know what makes that system tick, Playstation 3 has just launched and its very hard to develop and is still a new console. So either way its not really fair.

Developers haven't had the time to develope great games yet for the Playstation 3 because its so alien to them, they need to figure out the inside and outside of the console to grasp the full potential that the Playstation 3 allows.

Does this mean Playstation 3 graphics will surpass 360's in the long run? Maybe or maybe not. Will they stay the same? Maybe or maybe not. Its just a little early imo to make this statement of 360 having superiority.

So I'll give it a year because thats how long it took 360 to get its first killer app Gears of War which looks impressive so thats the time mark for me.

But also I have one more thing, if the Playstation 3 is an amazing console as Sony says and its hard to develope for, no one will ever work their ass off and put forth all of that money to access the true potential. I mean Sony doesn't have a billion dollars it can throw around like Microsoft did for Gears.

Who knows? So until then i'm not going to compare them, only time will tell.

You have to admit it's pretty funny though, with all the fanboys in the FNR3 PS3 thread claiming that the Playstation version was superior. Seems not.

Honestly I don't see a diffrence?

Also it seems that the only reason 360 games look better is because its a lot darker, look at Call of Duty 3, my eyes burn at how bright it is.

Dude, developers only got their dev kits last summer, of course the ps3 games wont look as good as promist right now, developers are still figuring out the dev hardware.

it will be months or years before we get the kind of graphics or gameplay inovations that will blow us away.

Its pretty simple Lizard, both FNR3 games were Launch titles for the consoles (well, almost launch for PS3)

No its not, X360 is the superior console right now as far as graphics are concerned.

At the moment no one is developing because they wont make a profit on the games.

Yeah... How much did SONY spend on developing PS3 and CELL again?

And MS DIDNT spend a billion dollars on Gears They spent the money on the X360.

Who knows? So until then i'm not going to compare them, only time will tell.

it doesnt matter if theres a good reason for the Ps3 version falling short or not... this is just horrible for sony reguardless. this lazy port is something sony has to look out for and help curtail... a side by side comparison like this with the 360 winning out is throwing lead weight on the ankles of the Ps3.


the fact seems to be that the 360 one looks better. we've seen resistance, so we know the Ps3 isnt a complete scam, but this is just another reason people will sway their loyalty or future purchase decisions. could this come at a worse time...? right before christmass...with Ps3's being in semi-short supply with massive pricetags... the general public doesnt take in all the considerations that many are holding on this board, and some might say ...rationalizing a bit.

i honestly beleive ps3 will have some simply ******ly sweet games... in say 2 years, but im not convinced xbox won't pace them, and well.

if its going to take so long to see the greatness then you have to wonder if the general consumer wont be swayed with things like this, i beleive they will.

Honestly I don't know what the hell I did to be the most hated person on this freakin board?

I just state my opinion and want a civilized conversation about it, but it seems like everyone wants to change that and make it this huge fan-boy war and crap. Why can't we just like diffrent things?

However can you honestly say with a straight face that if Halo 3 came out like two weeks before Resistance and Resistance came out with the spike grenade you would all be jumping on the band wagon and saying "OH MY GOD THEY STOLE THAT INSOMNIAC CAN'T THINK OF WEAPONS THEMSELVES!" I mean most of you already do?

So honeslty I think when I post I try to keep an open opinion, I might not show it but I do, and sometimes I say dumb things just to piss you guys off because you've pissed me off so freakin much.

Lizard, look at the main enemies for resistance, and then look at the enemies , or main ones, from area 51. Tell me, with a straight face, that there isn't a huge, uncanny resemblance.

The spike grenade does sound original. I can admit it. But don't even pretend the gun that fires homing bullets isn't a rip off of the needler.

I don't think the spike grenade sounds THAT original - there is such a thing as a nail bomb in real life and I'm almost positive that nail grenades have been used before - and, like I said once before, the second Halo book apparently mentions something of a nail grenade, way before Resistance came out.

Yes, the Needler Grenade has existed in the HALO universe long before anyb0ody even thought of making RESISTANCE.
