It would be great if the whole Movie starts with a big flashback scene.
From Peters Childhood to the Day when he is bitten by the Spider,then Uncle Bens dead and the first tme he uses his Powers for good.
Then back to our present time where Peter is late again for class and Dr.Conners is very angry with him.t:

I thought it was kinda strange how Peter never mentioned his parents in the Raimi movies. At first you could say that it didn't matter but with Uncle Ben dead, you would think that he would mentioned them. Just one line.

Exactly my thoughts. That was the only decision I didn't like (Stone as Gwen Stacy), but everything else, from the villain choice to Garfield as Peter and so on; all seem like great decisions! Even the writer is good imo, so it should work out very well in the end!

Was the death or murdering of his son vital in the comics? Because I don't know how they will pull it off.

It's not vital at all. In the first Spidey/ Lizard adventure, Billy and Connors's wife are there to remind him of his humanity. I think he might've been kidnapped by the Lizard though. Billy has tended to be alive most of the time. I didn't even know he was dead in the comics.

I am sure we will not get that storyline, nor the Billy as Lizard Jr. storyline either. It is not vital to the story of Dr. Connors/Lizard.

I totally agree (with the exception of Stone as Gwen, which I think is great)! I have a GREAT feeling about all this!

I wouldn't mind seeing all this as a cool opening credit sequence.

This is good news. The previous films never really explored Peter's past. And the news about Billy pretty much means the Lizard's in (that and Sony's "no comment" when asked about the rumors).

It might be cool if they showed 8 year old Parker with Uncle Ben, giving him the whole 'With Great Power....." speech as a pre-title credit sequence.......then boom! We kick into the opening music, with the updated origin and credits!

Peter's Dad had kind of developed the webbing formula. Peter figured the rest out and invented the shooters himself
