The Amazing Spider-Man Sony now looking for a 6-9yr old Peter Parker; Scenes to involve Parker's parents

It'll be interesting to see what Webb does with them, but I'd say that the brief mention they got in the original Spider-Man is about as much time as they need on film. (Unless we get the Parker/Brock 'suit' story somewhere down the line.)

I think this pretty much confirms that we are going to have flashbacks in the movie, or just rehash the whole origin story again.

Seeing Peter's childhood, now that sounds like a great angle to do.

if its Lizard maybe it will go hand in hand with Curt Conners son. Like peter not wanting the young conners to loose his father at such a young age like Peter did.

My guess is it will show his life with them, their deaths, and him going to live with Ben and May.

Now that would be an interesting storyline I would love to see!

Countdown till how long fans start speculating Sam Jackson cameos...

If they do a picnic scene with Peter's family and some friends of them when he was 8, we will know the most recent 'source', at least...

This is a cool idea. If this is done with flashbacks than this is the way to go. I'd love to see a main story with flashbacks going on in between.

I think Bruce Greenwood would make a good Richard Parker, if Peter's parents are indeed shown.

So much win. If this is true, I will piss myself with joy. :woot:

This is really great news. EVERYTHING about this movie yet (castings, writer, director, this...) is awesome. I have a great feeling about this :D

What do you guys think if they adapt the story from the comics where his parents returns as robots, but to make it more realistic, maybe an enemy of Spidey uncovers his identity and sends two old parents that reselmble his real ones to brake him down.

^Ummm...no, thats okay

I like the idea of actually mentioning Peter's parents this time. It always bothered me how they were never mentioned in the raimi movies.
