Finally

The story continues after Soul Calibur IV, set 17 years following the fourth game's events, and revolves around Petroklos, Sophitia's son. If you'll remember, she has two children, whom Tira made a point of threatening. Petroklos is now a young man and has taken up a shortsword and (tiny) shield, like his mother and his aunt, Cassandra. Now unless Namco plans to chop one of the two ladies, Soul Calibur V will have three characters using the same weapons, though given his mum and auntie both have very feminine moves, he'll probably still get a fresh move set, regardless of whether his relatives stay.

Speaking of blondes, Siegfried will be returning to the roster with a total wardrobe makeover. Remember the way he bled bling in Soul Calibur IV? Namco has toned down his attire this time, doing a 180 by putting him in black armor. The flowing golden locks are still there, of course.

:awesome:This is awesome news.
Till then I'll continue playing Soul Calibur IV.

Major bump! Was there another thread for this or did no-one care about Soul Calibur V?

maybe it was deleted? Im was sure I posted about it when I found out about the changes to the game and when I actually got it

The other SCV thread was made by me. Hasn't been posted in for a long time.

Fair enough. IV was better anyhow. Any news from Soul team on a number 6?

I heard Project Soul was (again*) disbanded.

*Project Soul was closed down by Namco once before when sales of SCIV didn't meet Namco's expectations. Project Soul had little to do with SC: Broken Destiny, which cam out for the PSP years after SCIV.

Dont expect to see another SC until after the next gen consoles launch. The series is done for this console gen, if I had to guess. We may get an announcement next year for a 2015 release

Ah ok, thanks. I'd welcome another Soul Calibur but preferably not centred around Patroklos, who I found extremely dull as a protagonist.
