Probably sometime in my life, odds are I'll be in my sixties by the time it's affordable.

The risks far outweigh any possible benefits. So much can go wrong.

To die slowly of starvation and suffocation while your malfunctioning ship orbits Earth in black space would suck...it would suck something awful.

Yeah, but you would be the first to die that way.:o

Just open the airlock, you're blood would turn to gas due to the lack of pressure and you'd die within seconds.

The way it happens is.

Yeah, I guess so. Though I'd say 90% of the global population don't even employ their options, they just sort of take whatever hand is dealt. But I better stop there before this turns into one of those morbid, cliche "how would you want to die" threads.

I'd like to do it, and hell, I'd rather die of starvation in space than most of the options available on Earth.

Starvation is one of worst ways possible to die. That compounded with the loneliness of space would drive a man insane.

Hell, some of the people here already LIVE on the moon. :ninja:

I would love to go to outer space, but I know that isn't going to be happening anytime soon.

If I ran out of food and water...I would get in my little space suit...go outside and push off towards Earth. Maybe some part of my charcoaled remains from entering the atmosphere would land in someone's yard. Or better yet...push off towards some planet...me freeze and then aliens find me and revive me in 100 thousand years.

There's still so much mystery and wonder to explore here on Earth. The only real value of going into space, I suppose, is to be able to look at Earth from a totally different view. And perhaps the sensation of weightlessness. Other than those, there really isn't anything else.

But there's still so much to see here on Earth. If I have a billion dollars to spend, I'd spend them on traveling around the world, taking in the splendour of other cultures, sights, food and architecture. When I'm done, then I'd consider going to space.

No. Space touring never interest me. I don't really care to know if there are life on other planets. I believe in space aliens so if I were to go and find nothing, I'd be terribly disappointed.

I'd rather go on a Deep Sea Exploration. There are still many things yet to be discovered down there. I'm going to look for the lost city of Atlantis and mermaids.

A very wise lady folks, a very wise lady.

When you die, your flesh will be eaten by maggots. :csad:

Gol-darn TOOTIN' dying slowly of starvation while your malfunctioning ship orbits Earth in the blackness of space would suck somethin' fierce like Jo Beth after too many ciders at the hootenanny!!
