If you haven't seen this than you are truly missing out. This is a cover of David Bowie's classic Space Oddity done in freaking space. Probably the cover to end all covers, I don't know how you can top this. Truly worth all five minutes of your time if you love space. Commander Chris Hadfield was recently on the Nerdist podcast and it is one I highly recommend, it's a solid hour or so of wonderful insights into the mind of an astronaut.

I follow Chris Hadfield on Twitter so I saw this when he gave his performance. It was surreal in the best possible way.

Cmdr. Hadfield's Twitter feed is one of the best around. While he was in orbit he tweeted videos about life in space, showed us some fun experiments and posted breathtaking photos of the Earth as he saw it from the ISS. Some of the photos he shared were just mind-blowing. He is a genuinely nice man, to boot. Following him was the best advice Leonard Nimoy ever gave me. (Also the only advice. )

I only learned about Hadfield recently, but crazy thing I was just looking up the song a couple of days ago as I haven't heard it in forever.
