i can agree it was NOT michael jai white's fault, i thought he was great even though if they had based it on the comics they could of had a white actor, anyone who reads the comics knows what i mean

If your referring to his face being burned then I see where your going with this. But what about the flashback scenes? Michael Jai White was a great choice for the role. But for me the voice of Spawn will always be Keith David

no man, i meant in the comics when spawn is walking around in human form he is a blonde haired, white man with al simmons voice. he got pissed off the first time he turned white. im not sure how the non comic audience would have liked that. see spawn has 3 looks

The Spawn movie was alright, but it's a case of wasted potential as the HBO cartoon was much more superior than anything that was presented in the live action Spawn movie. Hopefully if/when a sequel/reboot of Spawn ever occurs as a live action movie, Mcfarlane will go for a R rather than a PG-13 rating which isnt the way to go with Spawn.

Which was my initial argument. Hell, the only reason I even saw the movie was b/c of the HBO series, and I doubt I'm alone. Why would they make a film that was such a huge departure from what drew the audience in in the first place?

Spawn needs a redo. He's one of my favorite comic book characters and the movie was too cheesy to do him any justice. The only good thing about the whole movie was Michael Jai White as Spawn. The rest of the movie sucked. If they do another one scrap all the characters and do a good story line with current special effects technology. I'd like to see what Tim Burton could do with a good Spawn script. He almost turned Superman into Spawn might as well give him the script he seems to want to do.

i was just rewatching scenes from the original movie and i think they should definitely reboot this.

they could even get John Leguizamo and Michael Jai White back, they were perfect! everything else could be rebooted.

The movie had a bad script, but those two were perfectly cast. The makeup and practical effects were fantastic but the cheesy cgi brought the movie down.

With todays effects and a bigger budget, they could do an amazing Spawn movie. It doesn't have to have a huge budget... look at how much they made Dredd for... it just needs the right creative team.

Someone suggested a Tim Burton directed Spawn, he'd be perfect, i definitely think a rebooted movie needs a director with a real knack for visuals. Guillermo Del Toro is another obvious choice, but if it happens, i think it'll be a much smaller name. I can't see Spawn being a huge budget blockbuster movie if it happens any time soon. I'd love for that to be the case though, with a big budget, they could do some amazing stuff with Spawn.

Spawn the animated series is up there with BTAS and Keith David is up there with Conroy as far as character portrayal. This needs a reboot. A hard R rating. Less action more creepy horror movie vibe. I wish Michael Jai White returns.

Yea according to MacFarlane. He says he has an Oscar actor for the role. Most likely Foxx, God no, but I like the story he laid out, but he says he wants to do it on a 10 mil budget. Umm that's not enough. He also wants to direct. I don't think this ever gets rebooted.

Damn I don't really know about Foxx... But dude yeah seriously the HBO series is ridiculously good. I love the animation. And Keith David man!!!! Spawn is the role he was born to play!!!!

Yeah the next Spawn definitely needs to have a creepy horror vibe. The first movie actually nailed some aspects of Spawn but overall it was kind of low quality. I love the effects though. Spawn and Violator were both perfectly cast.

I know it's really unlikely but i want them both to come back for a reboot.
