Sequels Spencer Smythe and the Spider-slayers

Nah, I always thought of the Spider-Slayers as being cheap Sentinels of the X-Men fame. No Spider-Slayers.

Funny. I always thought of Sentinels as being cheap Spider-slayers. :oldrazz:

(Spencer Smythe with first spider-slayer: June 1965. First Sentinels: November 1965 :cwink: ).

Well, considering the Sentinels never even made it to the X-movies (we don't speak of that Megazord head and Trask-in-Name-Only Ratner tried to pass off in TLS), giant killer robots are long overdue in a comic flick.

Especially ones shaped like big bugs. Think Power Rangers: The Movie except...you know, not crappy.

Personally, I would've liked to have seen them as Harry's pre-Goblin Spider-hunting plan, but the time has passed for that.

Sony should really get the rights to the Kingpin; I'd love to see him in a future movie, as Spidey's yet to go up against any sort of organized crime. Smythe would work great in his employ.

They could make the Scorpion into a spider-slayer,where the face area projects a hologram of JJJ's face to it while JJJ contols the thing with a remote contol device at the Daily Bugle.

It's creative...but no....that's just....I don't know, something seems wrong about it.

The movie J.J. just isn't capable of financing Scorpion; he's pure comic relief. Scorpion would have to be set up as a joke first (then maybe turning more sinister as he goes "out of control").

Well, will you look at Mr. Specific.

Ultimate Spider-Slayer. Alyaster Smythe would be a nice sidestory. Have his father, a scientist, die in an accident, and Alaster swear vengance against him.

As for the thing about big giant robots not being in movies...see Transformers :P
