Spider-Man 2 vs The Winter Soldier

Spider-Man 2 by a country mile and change. A much fuller, more cinematic film with amazing cinematography, grand storytelling, and a film that sticks its landing with a great ending. Among the five best films the genre has ever produced.

Never been crazy about SM2. I actually prefer the first film.

I love the Raimi SM movies, but this one's a no brainer for me. Easily TWS.

Spider-Man 2 for me. Bother films are great, but the heights are higher in SM2 and the lows are as low compared to CA:TWS.

Both are truly exceptional comic book movies in every sense of the word and they're both the text book definition of a sequel done right.

That being said I'll go with Winter Soldier but it's an extremely close contest

Winter Soldier was impressive in that it made Cap a badass, but other than the intense hand to hand fights, I find it kinda bland.

Spider-Man 2 is just magic. That "Raindrops are falling on my head" montage alone makes this an easy choice for me. It's still my favorite Marvel movie, tied with the first Spider-Man.

Spider-Man 2 is good and entertaining, but massively overrated.

MJ is the worst she's ever been in any medium (two cartoons handled the "Peter missed my play he promised to watch" stuff much better), Doc Ock should have died after the first punch he received from Spider-Man, artificial intelligence given to appendages connecting to spinal cord somehow gives them their own personality, power loss is far dumber than it is in comparison to Spider-Man tripping and doubting himself for a few pages, or somehow pausing before bigger mutation kicking in.

Happy to see the poll as close as it is.

While I did vote for Winter Soldier, Spider-Man 2 is still easily on or above the level of the best of the MCU.

To this day, I feel like Spider-Man 2
is one of the most overrated comic book films.

The game deserved all the praise that it got, but
the film itself was never that special to me.
