Spider-man 3: Carnage?

Raimi hasn't dissapointed most of us, so I think if he wanted or was "forced to" he could put Carnage in a movie without problems, you can take the character to the edge of the PG-13 Rating. It does suck that we will probably only get to see Venom in Spider-man movies, but who knows, I was never really much of a Carnage person anyway...

i know, it was strange to see supes just flying around with spidey behind shout "yeeehaw, ride 'em cowboys" and then they would land in some remote area and pretend to be vengeful gods to the locals...pretty cruel i thought

I agree, lizard > Carnage.

And as many of others have said it before me... the Carnage adapatation would not be good for a Pg-13 movie.

Besides carnage is ambiguous, is he kassidy, is he even a symbiote/human? Origin is all messed up thanks to the ultimate univese not to mention its almost fully autonomous.

No to carnage, yes to a scarier and buffed up venom.

I doubt that lizard would be a main villian. Nobody want to see spiderman vs godzilla lite. Also carnage is a poor villian like what venom became after he made like 50 appearances that ended with spiderman owning him in 2 pages.

No, the Lizard cannot hold his own movie. He needs to be paired up with Electro, Mysterio, Shocker, etc...I even like the idea of Jameson coming into the picture with Scorpion. I don't want a guy in a Rhino suit...a big thug in armor with some pretty big guns would be a good enough Rhino for me.

Wow, that wasn't mean at all, huh? But, hey, people can talk about whatever they want...even if it's about Carnage and Lizard teaming up with either Kraven, Electro, Mysterio, Shocker, Rhino or Scorpion...I really do think Lizard will be in the fourth movie, that is if Sam Raimi decides to make a fourth one...and I could def. see him and Kraven in the mix, but, now that I put in my two cents, this thread should be moved to the Spider-Man Sequels board.

Does anyone think Kingpin would be fitting for a future S-M film? I mean, get the guy that was in the Daredevil movie, add a storyline where he gets out of prison, hires some villains (Electro, Rhino etc..), then we could possibly have a Daredevil tie-in, instead of a full blown sequel. but NO mention of Elektra.

For me, i dont care if Carnage isnt in a movie, i dont think a proper carnage story can be p-13. I do however wish Spidey 3 to acknowledge Kassidy. Brock shouldnt die, he should be sent to Ravencroft, and be shown his new cellmate...Cletus Kassidy. That be good enough for me. I do agree with the poster thinking kingpin would be a good edition. A Dare-Devil tie might save DD some face since many people disliked the DD movie. I'd have kingpin and Mysterio as villians in that. But who do you get to replace Affleck? Meh, wild speculations abroad.

yeah i dont belive he will be either.. it would be hard to make a pg 13 movie with cleetus in it i think without ruining the essence of the character, altho it has been done b4 i think, batman begins was pretty dark i cant remember the rating tho..

Carnage/Cletus Kasady featured in the 1990s Spider-Man cartoon, he wasn't ripping people to bits but he was still insane. I refer you to Spider-Man The Animated Series Season 3 Episodes 37 and 38. And Spider-Man Unlimited.

Carnage would never be in a PG-13 movie...so I doubt we will ever see him. Plus Carnage is pretty much a rehashed Venom. There are tons of other classic villians that deserve screen time before Carnage. I think Carnage and Venom would be better suited for a cartoon movie...I think Raimi did a good job with Venom but Carnage would have to be retooled completely to not be a red Venom in another Spidey movie.

Anyone who says Carnage is simply a different version of Venom obviously hasn't done their homework. True, they are both symbiotes and more or less recieve these costumes by accident. Hell, even Spidey got the black costume more or less by accident.

To understand why Carnage would be such a great storyline, you have to dive into the comics, and Raimi definitely knows his Spider-history. To defeat Carnage, we see something which doesn't happen too often, or at least didn't before then: the hero and the villain team up to take down a greater villain. Carnage could definitely be shown within the PG-13 rating. I mean, come on. Doc Ock absolutely slaughtered 4-5 doctors horror movie style, and there wasn't a mention of whether or not it worked within the rating. He's a good director, he could pull it off.

Carnage is evil, he's insane, and he's powerful. Two enemies bring him down. That's a movie worth making. Granted, if this were done alongside another villain, that'd probably be okay, but after all the villains we have in Spidey 3, while it may be difficult to go back and do a film with just one villain, I definitely think it'd be something worth trying. When has that happened before? Ever since Batman Returns.. there's always been more than one in that series.
