I like the song, its not bad and it does fit in with the theme of the movie. But in my opinion I think its the worst of 3 songs (Hero and Vindicated). Its just not grabbing me like the other 2 songs did.

Snow Patrol for 'Spidey 3'

"A new, previously unreleased track from Snow Patrol will head up the new soundtrack from "Spiderman 3," according to an announcement from the band. After originally announcing that the track was going to be "Signal Fire," a later clarification stated that that particular song had been rejected -- and that another song was being chosen. New songs from The Killers as well as Aussie rockers Wolfmother are also said be included on the new soundtrack according to a post from the band. The movie opens May 4; the soundtrack streets May 1."

? Was 'Signal Fire' originally written for SM3? Because if not- wow- this song sounds like a lament for Harry Osborn mixed with the ending for MJ.

I don't think that's accurate even AOL is listing it as from Spider-Man 3... I highly doubt that AOL would ever mess up like that. More than likely this was released by Sony as Spidey mania has officially kicked off today.

Having read the novelization and knowing how the film is going to end this song sounds like it was written for the movie. Too much of it is about heroes, MJ and Peter, and a lament for Harry... I mean, this sounds like it was seriously written for the film.
