We should discuss the game in the spoilers forum, because its going to eventually contain spoilers.

I liked the 360 Spidey 3 game. Make the swinging more like Web of Shadows, make the air combat and wall combat like that too, but keep 3's ground combat. Graphics should be crazy real.

Spidey should definitely have more tricks in combat and a more in depth New York would be more fun too. He should aslo be able to do more than just swing around...maybe they should let us be spidey and peter. We should be able to juggle doing both in addition to being a hero.

I've always wanted things to happen in Spidey games like Peter has a date with MJ and you have to decide whether to stop a villain and try to get to the date in time or just go to the date.

Yeah it would be cool if you had to find a place to change into spidey without blowing your secret identity..

The only thing i wish from it, is that it goes bak to the swing controls of Spidey 2, but also have a bit more interesting ground level features.

Like when you beat all the villains, instead of petty criminals to fight and stuff, maybe some more elaborate battles, maybe Shocker robbing a bank, some stuff like that.

Yeah the swinging in spidey 2 and WOS was far superior that spidey 3...it hurts me to say that spidey 3 (the game of course) was atrocious...just bc its named after an arachnid doesnt mean it should be choppy and filled with bugs...WOS had bugs too, but it seemed rushed. hopefully activision will get it right. However, i dont want to keep fighting the goddamned shocker-otherwise i agree with you.

Now that would rock!

the problem is if the movie villain is lizard. he already appeared in SM3 game. but thats the issue. I dont think he (Lizard) can stand alone as the main villain.

They will probably just hope you forget that it happened. -_-

They probably can make it still work, just tweak it in the game as to say that the Lizard is back. Just like they have used Vulture already in the games, and some other guys like Mysterio.

^yea thats dumb, i mean, i know that the games cant have only the movie villains. but Vulture can be great as main movie villain but a whole game about him? to me the only villains that are good for game (as main antagonist) are Venom, the Goblins, Ock and probably Mysterio & Scorpion.

i don't understand why this thread went out of commission. I think the game should have.......Oh:huh:

Things I want in a Spider-Man game.
-Realistic New York. You want the game to have an authentic feel. To do this, they should put in small details like homeless men, real New York attractions like Grand Central Station, and more.
-Flowing combat that is not flashy with super bright colors and other distracting things.
-Flowing combat.
-You should have a choice between following the movies story and the games original one.
-Each villain should be different in combat.

I imagine the Spider-man Reboot game should have the same swinging engine from Spider-man 2, as well as new aerial tricks and combat.

The villains should be Electro, Lizard, Shocker, Rhino, Spider-Slayers, Spencer Smythe, Scorpion, Molten Man and The Beetle.

These are pics of how the villains should look...

Shocker

Other Features
  • A realistic New York City to swing and explore in.
  • Spider-man can make choices that will change the outcome of some missions.
  • The player can choose different Spidey costumes such as Scarlet Spider and Peter Parker.
  • There should be three main story arcs, the first one revolving around the main movie plot, the second should be the exclusive game storyline and a story featuring Spidey cleaning up the rising crime.
  • You can participate in Races, Combat Runs, and many more activities.

I think after you defeat a boss, they should re-appear committing crimes in free roam. With the PS3 and Xbox 360 capabilities they could program literally 100s of different types of crimes, so that it won't seem so repetitive when fighting random crimes around the city.

I think the game should be completely interactive. I just always wanted to swing into stores or stop and talk to civilians. Just imagine....You could talk to Mary Jane after a cutscene or talk to a person after you save people or you could even jump in a taxi! You should be able to swim under water.

And another thing, no more swinging webs from nowhere! I want this game realistic as well. You need a building!

Reminds you of Sims meet Spider-Man huh?

When I played Spiderman Shattered Dimensions I realized that the game was way too much about regular combat.

For the most of the time I didn't feel like I was playing a Spiderman game, I felt like I was playing Marvel vs Capcom, especially because Spidey had those ridiculous web sack/web hammer attacks. Spiderman Web of Shadows wasn't a perfect game, but it was a step in the right direction combat wise.

I'll explain: Spidey isn't a kung fu master, he doesn't need all those close combat moves. Spidey is a guy who uses webs all the time (not the way he used them in SD), and he uses smart take downs in fights! And you know, when Spidey webs the bad guys on walls and to street lights? More of that please!

Ofcourse spidey would have close combat moves too, but they could be simpler, like in Batman arkham asylum, where the combat is flowing, so basicly the movement never stops, almost like a one combo to defeat all enemies. Let's have that, but with more acrobatic moves!

In Spiderman games the combat has been pretty much like this: combo: move 1-move 2- move-3 *move to other enemy* move 1-move 2- move 3 *move to other enemy* and so on... Basicly, extremely repeditive. That needs to be fixed.

The game will suck. Nearly all movie based video games suck.

hahahaha:woot:

^If that is the sequel to Shattered Dimensions then it might be good.

Games that have their creativity stifled by having to connect their game to a movie and be approved by the movie studio usually always suck. I implore anyone to post in here a superhero video game title tied in with a movie that was an amazing game.

I have zero hopes for this game. It will just be another lame attempt to piggy back off of a blockbuster superhero movie. Also...the very fact that this game is not even in development yet but will still likely happen is proof that it will suck.

I'm excited for Edge Of TIme, but I wish Acitivision would spend 2 years on a nice free roam Spider-Man game. Last fantastic free Roam Spidey game was S-M2 (2004). Don't get me wrong, I liked Shattered Dimensions, but I hope free roam returns one day.

Wolverine broke all the rules and had a M-rated, violent game which respected the character and didn't sugarcoat anything. In return, we got an awesome game that some say was even better than the movie.

^^ The game definitely was better than the movie, IMO. It was violent, and awesome just how Wolverine should be.
