I played SM2 and loved it t the time.....the free roam, the gameplay mechanics....it was a great game

I haven't played SM3 and was thinking of picking it up for cheap. Any good? Do you guys think it's worth the trouble?
Read some very conflicting reviews so unsure about it

^ On PS2/Wii? Don't even bother. On PS3/XBOX 360/PC? Sure, it's actually a really fun game.

If you have a really good PC then get it for that system, it still has issues, but at least Beenox polished some of them. Copy I play has the most beautiful swinging in a spidey game, I can decide the length of the line and swinging speed, at least I'm that lucky with the game, dual swinging & arc in a circle vertically or horizontally

I hope the story doesn't bother you, cause it already says it on the back of the box, not a one story game, I think it's better cause it loses the mega story with so many WTF? moments in some other stories

Glitchiest game I ever played, but I was lucky to have more amusing ones than annoying ones, in the 29 times I played it I only encountered 1 or 2 annoying glitches, the first 1 happened 5 times, the other happened twice

Well it be for either PC (I can easily max it out) or PS3....any difference between the two?
I don't have a controller for my PC so whats it like with keyboard and mouse?

^ Barely any difference between the two, just get the one you're more likely to play it most often on. I've played it on my notebook with a keyboard/mouse... it's very fidgety, get it on PS3.

It's been more than 2 years since I last played the game using a keyboard, the gamepad is more comforting
When I play games using the keyboard I always make sure to set the keys to my comfort
Since you can't find the setting on the title screen (it just flashes and you enter the game) you need to skip the first cinematic, press Esc, use the direction buttons left or right to get to the setting screen
Not having the main menu on the title screen shouldn't be bothersome, you'll find the everything in the game

Between the PC or PS3? Nope, not really. I have it for the Xbox360.

I loved SM3 for the xbox 360! The graphics were unreal, i loved the gameplay, and webswinging and stuff.

Typical, it wasn't made by big Japanese developers, and released before 2009
Yeah, that year had a great start for other countries games in terms of graphics quality, more in cinematics

I really didnt think the game wa that bad. It suffered from things here and there and could efinitely have been improved, but I don't think it's a bad game. S-M2 is a btter game though, IMO.

I already know I'm getting this game. I'v been hooked on Spider-Man games ever since I got Spider-Man 3 psp for my birthday last year. Of course, it'll be after I see the movie so I avoid spoilers.

I loved the gameplay of spider-man 2, but the graphics in spider-man 3 were the best IMO. What do you guys think they will do? You think they will have good graphics like sm-3 and gameplay like sm-2? Or think they'll do something completely new? Hopefully it's free roam..

^^ Tbh? Something new. I wish they'd aake the web-slinging from S-M2 and enhance it, but I doubt it.

But...they were still pretty bland when comparing it to the industry leaders. We won't get an epic Spider-Man game until a developer takes 2-3 years to develop and make it. All of these movie games are churned out in a year.

I have zero expectations for the movie based game. Activision even said pretty recently that it's too early to start developement on that one yet. I mean...too early!? Even if they may not have all the information about the movie yet they could at least start working on some things such as combat moves, controls, NY (if it's a free roam game, that is) etc.

So, the ASM game will suck for sure.

I really doubt that they will make a game based on the movie now that Benox is making Spiderman Edge of Time
I mean, it's not like every superhero movie gets a video game, we didn't get a game based on the Dark knight either, and it seemes that they would have extremly little time to do the game, so why would they bother?

Seriously, I share some complaints about that game, but as far as I saw a lot of the complaints the game received are highly exaggerated, especially the one about the story, that wasn't supposed to be a complain when the developers tell you on the back of the box something that indicates: "You really shouldn't expect one long story the whole game, cause there isn't"
And I love that cause once again, overly long stories usually have serious WTF? moments, no matter how good the story is

I'm not all that excited myself. I mean, it could be fun, but there's no doubt that it's gonig to be a little bit dissapointing.

I think sm2 was much better story wise, because, the game didnt end so fast, there was soo much to do, we had rhino, shocker, black cat, mysterio etc and it was a really fun long game, and i like long games because i hate games i can finish in a few hours

When you say a game you finish in a few hours you mean storywise only or with everything else?
