So is it confirmed that a game is coming out for this movie? I would hate to get my hopes up and then it never happens, like with TDK.
The game will -apparantely- have less than a year in development
Have no hopes for it

I want to like this game. I really do. But... I don't. It just looks almost exactly like Shattered Dimensions, I hated the over-exaggerated attacks that Spider-Man had in the Amazing universe, and I hate them in this aswell. Seriously, wtf is with the glowing neon punch and kick ****?

Might rent it or wait for the price to drop to like a tenner. :\

I kinda agree, especially with the over exaggerated attacks (in my case, I hate the over done web attacks). But at least we will have a new combat system.
That's right you heard me, a NEW combat system! The combat you see there is actually a new system, it works quite differently compared to Shattered Dimensions. The web attacks have been copied from Shattered Dimensions yes, but they also work differently this time around.

This seemes to be a game that just has to grow on us, we'll just have to give it a chance. It's not like we're getting any better Spidey games soon due to the Amazing Spiderman movie game's lacking of production time

I bet they'll announce the Amazing Spider-Man game at one of these panels.

Probably. Back at E3, someone asked an Activison Rep. if they started work on The Amazing Spider-Man game and he said, and I quote, "No. It's way too early to even be thinking about it."

It's never "too early" to start making a game. But...I guess that's Activision for you.

I was the one who asked. Through Twitter. :awesome:

And I agree. That was the dumbest answer ever. It's never too early.

LOL. That's the reason why their stuff sucks/has a low replay value.

I'm starting to wonder if The Amazing Spiderman game will come at the same time with the movie, is there a possibility that they deside to take their time and it comes late?

If it comes later, it'd certainly be a pleasant surprise. After the disaster the Thor game was, I hope we get something different.

I'm still hoping for an iPhone version, something like Total Mayhem. I loved it, and would love something like that on a mobile platform.

Movie tie-ins always come out either before the movie comes out or the same day the movie comes out, so I don't think it'll come out late.

I hope they announce it soon. I've been addicted to Spidey games ever since I got Spider-Man 3 for the psp. I'm already thinking about saving up so I can buy it when it comes out.

Save that money.

Buy something good and entertaining like Batman Arkham Asylum (it's really cheap right now) and save up for Arkham City.

Wait for the price to drop on this (if it's even announced).

Normally, I would not spend $50 for anything, but for this, I'm willing to make an exception. I really like the Spidey movie tie ins and I would be dissapointed if there isn't going to be one for this movie. Thanks for the advice, but I'm sure that we both have completely different ideas of what a good game is. For Edge of Time, though, I will probably wait for a price drop or request it as a gift. Plus, these days, I trade in games at my GameStop and use trade in credit to get new ones, so hopefully I won't have to spend a lot or any money.

I like the film tie-ins. They're sh** and I expect them to be. I enjoy the sh**. They're like that uncle you have who's racist and does dogfarts: He's a bastard but you love him anyway. You just won't show him off to your friends.

I kinda wish Activision wasn't forcing Beenox to rush out a game this year, when they could have been putting more focus on making the movie tie in instead.

I agree. They could have used the time making Edge of Time to make the tie in game.

But then we wouldn't be getting EOT?! What is your damage, young man? Do you not like sub-par Spidey games you can microwave after 6+ hours of frustrated if-onlys?

Or just a better game overall. I mean, imagine a Spider-Man game that is free roam, and has the voices of either Chris Barnes or Josh Keaton. I'm not saying Edge of Time will be bad, but 2 years of development on a free roam game would be better. No doubt about it.

My word. You're a charming young fellow aren't you? :)

I always thought the counter argument to 'bad movie license games' were the Harry Potter games. Those were fun.

Well, 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 are fun. I haven't played the 7th, but I know I was wondering wtf happened with the 4th. They completely changed the gameplay style, and it's not free roaming like..well...every other HP game. 5th was the best, because you could essentially go anywhere, and there were almost NO LOADING SCREENS.

I still think it's the best superhero game. Batman: AA is great, but it lacks in replayability. Though, I think Batman:AC will fix that & could steal Spider-Man 2's spot.
