assuming that Disney allows the Sony produced films to run their current course, with 4, 5, 6..

hmm... I presume this would have to involve other actors, since Maguire may leave even before the next trilogy is done..

I wonder what villains will be available by then.. I hope that there is room for romance with someone besides Mary Jane... Betty, Gwen, Felicia, Marcy, etc.

..hmm.. what directors may be interested if and when Sam Raimi leaves..

This is good news that Marvel will be making Spider-Man in a few years with an official reboot.

Reboot Reboot Reboot. I can't say it enough.

Fox controls the "Fantastic Four", "X-men" movie franchises in perpetuity -- as long as it continues making the films. Marvel is a producer and financial participant through a licensing agreement.

I'm assuming it's the same deal with Sony and Spidey.

Im honestly hoping Raimi is out soon, after sm3 I've lost faith in his direction for the series

Hope to see it soon. But the reboot alway worse than the first one.

Granted, Batman '89 is better than Batman Begins, BUT...The Incredible Hulk is MUCH better than Ang Lee's Hulk.

I'm assuming it's the same deal with Sony and Spidey.

I don't think so since Sony had to actually renew their deal with Marvel and only includes 4, 5, and 6.

Note how Disney said that they're fine with Sony producing Spider-Man and Paramount producing Iron Man, but Paramount's deal with Iron Man ends with Iron Man 3.

7? No 7. I want 6. No 7. 6 is pushing it for how I want it anyway (I want the same same crew).

My mind is jumping ahead, and I'm thinking about the marketing for a Disney-made Spidey flick.

I don't know about you guys, but I would totally buy a Spider-Man plushie with mouse ears. I'm not even joking.
