I'll give them credit for introducing the holograms in Civil War and didn't just appear out of nowhere. And it was a nice nod to the Animated Series.

So if the rumors are to be believed, Sony's initial plans for a Venom/Sony-verse crossover in Brand New Day were tanked by The Last Dance and Kraven's failure at the box office. If so I'm glad audiences finally wisened up and stopped giving that Venom franchise money

I actually wouldn't call Venom 3 a failure overall. Disappointing cause it was the lowest grosser, but it ended up making more than either BNW or Thunderbolts and came close to 500 mil. Something that's been a struggle for CBMs as of late

Yeah I was more lumping that in with Kraven but you're correct. Failure is not the right word but I do think they expected to close the trilogy out with more of a bang than a whimper and, if word is to be believed, then fold that into Holland's fourth movie.

I would like to eventually see Venom but definitely not Hardy's version.

Oh, Kraven was a failure lol!!!! As was Madame Web. Those are LEGENDARY failures lol. I think those more than Venom 3 killed the crossover. Had those been like 300 mil WW grossing movies and Venom did the same business, I think SM4 would have ended up being the Knull movie

We dodged a bullet there, I haven't finished The Last Dance but from what I saw I never want to see Knull again. Damn shame because he was kinda cool in the comics

I like the Venom films ironically. They're stupid shlock and not good movies. But they entertain me in a so bad it's good way, and I do admit that having Tom Holland and Tom Hardy team up had some appeal for their banter potential. But I am happier with what we are getting instead. I REALLY wanted that Daredevil/Kingpin movie, but Punisher and Hulk with a returning Scorpion and whoever else is a more than acceptable alternative IMO

I still don't know how they're gonna incorporate Hulk into a cohesive story, and Brave New World makes me very skeptical... but finally seeing Spidey square off with the Hulk is damn exciting.

Now we just need a proper Hulk/Wolverine fight.

Now we just need a proper Hulk/Wolverine fight.

If the villain is Mr Negative, it's pretty easy to see how to work him in. He forces Banner into being Savage Hulk, he goes on rampage. They has fight. Everyone goes after bad guy. I dont think it's that hard to work him in

And the new rumor I saw yesterday per Richtman or one of those "scoopers" is that Mr Negative is not in the movie, so we'll see...

I think the multiple villains will be cannon fodder for Spider-Man to fight through. Scorpion may get a bit more screentime since we know him; I doubt Tarantula, Boomerang, Tombstone, and Ramrod are main antagonists; likely just representative of multiple factions or a gang war.

Would love if this actually ties into Born Again series and Spider-Man has to deal with an anti-vigilante NYC.

To be fair on the multiple villains thing, guys like

are likely going to be throw away villains for an action scene. We're only going to have Scorpion and whoever our main villain ends up being in reality.
