Mark Ruffalo is Bruce Banner/The Hulk

Glad to have it confirmed. Spidey and Hulk should be a fun dynamic

Mark Ruffalo is in talks to reprise famous Marvel role for Spider-Man: Brand New Day sources confirm he will reprise his Incredible Hulk role in the sequel. Tom Holland is back with Sadie Sink starring in a new secret role. Jon Bernthal is also reprising his Punisher role in the film

Ruffalo is circling an appearance in the upcoming fourth “Spider-Man” film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, but it’s unclear if a deal has closed for him to reprise his role as Bruce Banner a.k.a. the Incredible Hulk.

I'm meh about this. This is giving Spider-Man: Ragnarok. I guess Hulk is on the loose again and has to fight another superhero and Spider-Man needs to headline with another Marvel superhero like in the previous 3 films. Been there, done that.

I'll say what I said before...I'm fine with Bruce Banner so long as he's doing new things. Regurgitating the past Hulk vs. hero (in this case Spider-Man) fights I'm against and have no interest in at all, even less so in a Spider-Man movie - that is emphasis and fight time they could have given to an actual Spidey villain.

If there’s a Hulk fight again, Hulk could be just infected by the symbiote (left at the end of No Way Home) or Mr. Negative’s influence or something like that and it’s just a small part of the movie…retreading Thor Ragnarok. And Age of Ultron. And whatever I’m forgetting. Blah.

I just think its redundant to have Hulk in this. Its really unfortunate Marvel Studios cannot do another Hulk movie (even if they wanted to, that would have been successful post-Avengers 2012 and there should have been a Hulk trilogy by now), so they have to relegate the Hulk in supporting role/2nd lead in solo projects of other Marvel heroes.

It's gonna be interesting how he gets tangled on spidey's web.
Last time we saw him he was in California visiting his cousin. He's supposed to be spending time with his son. He was apparently living in Mexico on his island during the blip, but he'd come and go to New York I guess because that's where we see him in Endgame.

Considering he can change back to Bruce whenever he wants now, I'm guessing he could join the story somehow involving Peter's college, maybe currently working there. (How do you get into college without proof you exist and you had previous education though? Not even counting the zero money. I feel that's gonna be overlooked).
We could get the Hulk fight on campus, reminiscent of The Incredible Hulk.

I just remember Skaar is already in the Mcu and there's She-Hulk too! And those two haven't returned yet since that series ended.

"You know, [my purported involvement]'s not confirmed!" the actor says, chuckling.
When EW asks if he can confirm it now, the star responds, "I can't speak on that. I have no idea or right to do it at this moment in time."

He adds that, "maybe down the line, if that does come to be, we can have that conversation in a deeper way" without fully confirming his return — or lack thereof.

right... just like how Tobey nor Andrew were not in NWH

I hope it's not a major role in the movie -- I find Hulk's inclusion to be the least interesting aspect of the news coming out so far.
