Spider-Man: Brand New Day General News and Discussion Thread

Years ago I used to investigate on the net for secret Star Wars casting on the casting websites and elsewhere and shortly after I found stuff I would post the info on the SWNN forum, the people I posted about would delete their profiles after it made the site’s main page and was on social media. I think there might have been a legal takedown of one of the dumps on one occasion. I don’t want to upset anyone and ultimately their names aren’t very important anyway.

It’s known that Zendaya goes to his filming sessions and Tom goes to hers on Dune.

Tom Holland: “It really feels like we aren’t making the fourth movie. We’re making the first movie in the next chapter... This is ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’. This is a rebirth. This is something completely new.”

Tom Holland: “I really like the idea that he’s trying to be his big brothers, that he looks up to them and he sees little details on their suits that he thinks are really cool, and now that he is making his own suit and isn’t part of this bigger team”

ACTOR Tom Holland was rushed to hospital after a stunt on the set of the latest Spider-Man blockbuster went wrong.

It is believed he cracked his head in a fall and was treated for concussion.

A woman, thought to be a stunt double, was also taken to hospital in an ambulance.

Filming has halted on Spider-Man: Brand New Day after Tom Holland was hospitalized amid filming on the Glasgow set.

Deadline can confirm filming was suspended Friday as the actor was briefly hospitalized and treated for a mild concussion, and a source close to production says he will take a break “out of precaution” but is expected to return to filming in a few days.

According to The Sun, Holland’s injury happened during a stunt gone wrong.
Sources tell Deadline no one else was affected during the incident. A meeting is scheduled for tomorrow to adjust filming plans.

British outlets note that Holland’s father, comedian Dominic Holland, confirmed at a charity dinner in Mayfair that his son will be away from filming “for a while.” Tom himself attended the dinner alongside co-star and fiancée Zendaya, even posing for photos before leaving early after reportedly feeling unwell.

Professional sports and wrestling have concussion protocols that can have talent sidelined for a while or more.

All the best for a speedy recovery for Mr. Tom Holland!

Medical professionals provided the following statement regarding the fall: “We were called at 10.30am on Friday to attend to a patient who had sustained an injury at Leavesden Studios in Watford… An ambulance was sent to the scene, and the patient was transported to hospital for further care.”

I had a bad concussion that I suffered a little before the Super Bowl one year, and I at first was okay, but the following day I couldn't stand without ice on my head (and I worked like that an entire shift). The next day I went to the hospital and was off work for 2 weeks. Can't rush a concussion. Yeah, people can maybe be fine in a few days if it isn't bad, but you won't know the severity for maybe days.

Hopefully he takes it easy and has a safe recovery , however long it takes .

He's more than earned it given how much he's given to the role over the past 10 years.

I hope Tom Holland along with the stunt crew, get an Academy nomination for their stunt work.

Today they were filming an armored vehicle/tank going into a (what is believed to be a) prison with Spider-Man on it. It was of course one of Tom's stunt doubles.

I'm excited for both. I mean, Fantastic Four: First Steps really reminded me how much in need I was of some classic Marvel stuff. Deadpool & Wolverine, Brave New World, Thunderbolts*, it's all fine and dandy but I really miss the classic characters.

I mean, Punisher first appeared in Spider-Man. He kinda fit right in, more than Nick Fury or Strange.
Punisher isn't a Spider-Man character, hence why Lionsgate was able to make 2 movies for the Punisher. Same with the Hulk and Jean Grey.

These aren't Spider-Man characters.

That's only from a legal standpoint since they had to break down these character's movie rights.

Yeah the Punisher is very much his own character at this point but him being in a Spidey movie feels more appropriate than most other characters.

LOL oh please.

Mentored and hero-worshipped Tony Stark for a few films there without a single word about one of Stark’s pals being responsible for making him an orphan? I call bull****.

I do have to say, though, it would give the Sandman twist in Spider-Man 3 a run for its money.

Yikes!

It also feels redundent, since Scarlet Witch also lost her family to a member of the Avengers.
