Why does the belt look more v-shaped here?

Michael Mando posted (Instagram Story) a comic image of
Venom & Scorpion together
and of course people are losing their minds. He also posted a toy image of Scorpion.
It is very possible he starts the movie as Scorpion and becomes Venom for the finale

The suit looks great, but the fervor over it on social media really has me realizing how little I care/how little attention I’ve paid to fidelity when it comes to Spider-Man suits on screen.

Maybe I’m the odd one out here, but I never really gave a **** that Spidey had black bands on his arms in Homecoming or whatever. It was still unmistakably Spider-Man to me.

This book is currently slated for release on July 28, 2026:

Venom Modern Era Epic Collection: Sting Of The Scorpion

”The Venom symbiote claims a new host, who just happens to be one of Spider-Man’s greatest enemies!

Venom’s murderous offspring, Carnage, is about to reproduce himself — and Venom won’t stand for it! Only a now Eddie Brock-less Venom can save the life of its symbiotic grand-child. But is the new arrival named Toxin destined to be an even greater monster than those that came before it — or something else entirely? Then Venom forms a new bond — but is Angelo Fortunato, son of a mob boss, man enough to host a symbiote? Maybe Mac Gargan, A.K.A. the sinister Scorpion, is more Venom’s speed — but then can Spider-Man triumph against two of his most bitter foes combined?! In a world where Norman Osborn is in charge, Spidey villains enjoy fresh opportunities — and for the new Venom, that means a place on Osborn’s Thunderbolts! But is he ready to play hero? Plus: Look back at the dark origin of Eddie Brock that led him to join with Venom!

COLLECTING: Venom vs. Carnage (2004) #1-4; Marvel Knights Spider-Man (2004) #7-8, 11; Sensational Spider-Man (2006) #38-39; Thunderbolts: Reason in Madness (2008) One-Shot; Venom: Dark Origin (2008) #1-5; material from Civil War: Choosing Sides (2006), Spider-Man Family (2007) #3”

Yeah, I am thinking he starts out as Scorpion and gets the Venom upgrade for the finale then. Would make him more able to fight Hulk also

Look at dat. Now that's freaking Spider-Man, dude.
I always loved the (practical) Homecoming suit because of the texture it had but this is better despite that nitpick.

Extremely glad they stuck with the Romita-inspired look. There's a reason Romita's take stayed basically untouched until the 90's when people began taking some liberties.

They will and they should. All those crinkles in the costume don't look very flattering.
Gotta disagree. The wrinkles at least make it clear that it's a real suit made of real fabric. Brushing away all the wrinkles and creases is precisely what makes these suits look computer-generated even when they're not. It's too smooth and textureless.

Its a costume for a character that shoot webs. It doesn't need to mirror what an actual fabric appears in real life.

I feel like they should 'shop out all those wrinkles on his side, but leave some little ones by hips and knees and armpits

best of both worlds

How dare a suit made out of fabric wrinkle when in movement?

For Pete's sake, apocalypse now, please.

After sitting on it for a couple of days I came to the realization that this is indeed my favorite live-action Spider-Man suit so far. How it will look on screen when all is said and done remains to be seen, but the real thing is absolutely gorgeous and the most classic version we've gotten. The only thing that I miss is the "tick" Spider on the back. But oh man, Holland is wearing it like no other.
