Homecoming Spider-Man Homecoming (2017) General Discussion - - Part 79

I'm not a fan of the title "Homecoming" but I am a fan of the font and how "fun" this movie looks to be. Finally, Spider-Man is home and it looks like we're going to get the Spidey we deserve! It'll probably grow on me... I love Holland.

The title sucks. Sounds like some teen movie/high school musical garbage. But it's definitely a reference for Spider-Man being in the hands of Marvel Studios.

The logo is decent, looks a bit kiddish though.

That's kinda the point, dude.

Oh and props to the mod who renamed this thread to the official title.

I really, really dislike that logo... :csad:
Was secretly holding out hope for this font...ah well its just a logo.

I know it is, and it sucks. Spider-Man in high-school for the millionth time. Can't wait... :whatever:

I don't see the problem of the Homecoming subtitle. It covers both Peter's high school life and his return to the Proper Marvel universe.

Yeah that's why I like it. I can see why some might think it's on the nose, though.

I want this movie to be Deadpool levels of fun and have SM2 levels of heart. Love the title. :woot:
Btw, mods..can you smack a colon right on the end of "Spider-Man" there? Thanks.

Is the title "Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming"? Or is it just "Spider-Man: Homecoming"?

I mean in the sense I thought that after five movies, we'd finally be through with Peter's perpetual struggle of being Spider-Man and he's now ok with it. Guess not.

Hmm... I don't know. I feel like as long as Peter is kept young, they're always going to go that route with him. So, it's always expected for me.

Now, if they allowed Peter to grow up and get an handle on his life to show the duality of more "all together" things get as one gets older. Then, yeah it would be cool to see that struggle of balance gone.

Someone else is getting a Kick-A** vibe from the new title?
Kinda makes me want to hear Flying Home and The Prodigy Stand Up in the new movie.

I like the title it automatically differentiates it's self from the two previous series

I like how intimate the subtitle makes it sound, smaller scale like they said it would be. That's good for Spidey, Spider-Man 2 works so well because it's a personal story about Peter's struggles. I also like how whimsical the font is. Compare that to just about any other superhero movie and it just doesn't look like it's trying to fool anybody about what it's going for.

I just came on hear and was like why does this say homecoming lol. I then saw the link on hear someone posted. I don't know when this news came out but what a stupid name for a movie. I think spectacular would have been much better.
