I think the general audience probably wouldn't be as excited for him compared to the other 4, out of all of them included he'd probably rank as one of the most unmemorable villains imo lol.

The least NWH could do is give him a cooler design, labcoat included.

Watched amazing spiderman 2 tonight still dont get the hate at all its a love story that is the story there is not a million things going on like everyone says there is and the soundtrack is so good and the electro fight is amazing. Got 3 more spiderman movies to watch over again before ANWH comes out. Looking forward to seeing electro again he is a pretty powerful villain by him self and than add the other villains we are getting in this movie. Man we need trailer 2 really we should have had trailer 2 like a month ago but trailer 1 was also pretty late.

I get some of the general complaints, but I've neverrr understood the hate for that movie either. Like you said, it's a love story. That's the plot of the movie. And, imo, it's the greatest romance/love story/narrative ever told in a CBM. By far. And the music is absolutely incredible. The action, fight scenes, CG. Yep, I'm right there with ya, I've never understood the hate.... I think people were just ready/wanting Spidey to be in the MCU, so nitpicked/tore that movie to shreds (not saying it was all unwarranted, but definitely OOT in my opinion)

Glad someone else loves that movie as much as I do though! haha

O hell yeah. How could I leave that out. That movie honestly had webslinging/moves I've never even dreamt up Spidey doing, or imagining up and putting visuals to.. The creativity and execution of Spider-man's movements and webslinging in that will probably never be topped

I can understand the hate. It’s an awful movie that feels so corporate and trying to build up a universe that wouldn’t work . The story is to convoluted and it doesn’t know what it wants to be. The whole parent story is horrible. Andrews Peter is very unlikable and way to cocky . The Dane green goblin design is terrible and the the Gwen Stacy death had no impact whatsoever. Just a very soulless movie in my opinion. Also I feel like I was the only one that wasn’t impressed by the web swinging. I always felt raimi web swinging was more acrobatic in nature.

I suspect the reason the Lizard isn't on the poster is because he probably has minimal screen time.

He could be under that rock?

On the plus side, Stephen is also nowhere in the poster as well and we know how instrumental his role is in the movie.

I absolutely love those films, they were campy and goofy but the action and chemistry between Peter and Gwen was on point. I saw they were going for her death and I still felt it.

As for this poster, I find it underwhelming and like something thrown together last minute. Little Goblins Jr looks goofy way in the background and don't like Dock Ock effects. I preferred the Australian poster released last week as it was sharper. Glad others enjoy it though.

I specially like the reaction from my students who love the character because it reminds me of my excitement when the Raimi movies came out but given MCU Spidey treatment to the character I'm keeping my expectations in check. This still has MCU all over it including the cgi and color palette they use in their posters. The previous incarnations and characters had their own charm, feel and tone to them which I prefer over the Watts version. I'm still going to be there opening night.

I don't see the Lizard but I definitely see Ultron on the bottom right corner.

Wait so that earlier poster was the real deal basically. They just tweaked it so it would look a bit better.
It's like the poster got out, the reaction was lukewarm and they scrambled to make it better. The lightning and the little Green Goblin in the background look like a last minute sort of thing. It's an ok poster.

100% confident the trailer is premiering with Afterlife. Still think November 15th is very likely.

As do I. Even if we don't see tobey in the trailer, I'd still love for us to get more shots of Ock and Green Goblin. I'd be more than satisfied with that.

Truly gotta be one of the ugliest posters for one of these movies. Just a horrible mishmash of throwing everything on there with hardly any rhyme or reason, the stupid fire embers and blurs, the Washington Monument looks like it's part of NYC. Looks more like it's Iron Man's movie with the big RDJ and Iron Man flying around with a full body shot.

I will say, nothing in the MCU has ever come close to the Raimi trilogy posters.

Lizard and Sandman are said to be secondary villains. I don't think they will be as heavily teased as the other 3.

Yeah, close to all of the MCU posters are total scrotum, no sure why we'd expect any different here. That Homecoming one of Spidey laying out with headphones was kinda fun though.

Glad to see they made the right choice and didn't cower to the b*tching over 2002 Gobby suit/helmet, too. If you're going OG look for Ock, you've gotta with Goblin too. But of course they were going to, nostalgia's the whole point of this movie, they weren't going to skimp on the iconography.

I was never a fan of Green Goblin's look in SM but the leaked/fan art of the suit all ragged up with a purple hood and whatnot looked really cool to be honest. It was the all shiny armor that didn't look right to me.
