No Way Home Spider-Man: No Way Home General News & Discussion Thread (TAG SPOILERS)

Watching this to get myself hyped. The Raimi films always had great teasers.

I think that trailer dropped around December 2001, I remember watching it over at my grandparents house (my household didn't get a computer til almost 2003!) when it released and played it over and over again in the Quicktime player lol.

Guys if you're having a bad day and want a good laugh, go on twitter right now. They're roasting John Campea.

:funny:

Realistically speaking he's not in any trouble whatsoever.
He didn't sign any NDA with Disney or Sony, he doesn't owe anything to them. Freedom of speech/press would mean that if someone sends him a pic like that he's totally in his right to post it.

Also this is very different from the "press screening" thing he was criticizing, because in that case journalists are indeed making a good-faith commitment with the studio by being invited to those screenings. Here he owes Sony absolutely nothing.

Yeah i think in all this hubbub around Campea we’re all forgetting that someone LEAKED these to Campea. Someone who is obviously very very close to the production. And right now that person is sitting back and laughing.

It's nice to have some true blue irrefutable proof that Tobey and Andrew are in this. It won't even matter if they aren't in the second trailer since we already know.

Here's Marvel Studios and Sony's response to the recent leaks.

I am going with "someone tricked Campea telling him it's photoshopped"

I have always thought, ever since Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx were announced to reprise their roles as Doc Ock and Electro by the trades that Tobey and Andrew were also in this film, because why bring back their villains but not them? I had it at 60% that Andrew and Tobey were going to show up. I had Charlie Cox at 10%.

If the villains were new to the Spider Man movies like Tombstone or Mr. Negative, then it was 0% chance. But the fact that Andrew and Tobey's villains are showing up makes it likely that they would.

I didn't forget it.

Feige will get his wish of not having them appear the next trailer , but it's a bit of a kabuki theater now that the picture was leaked .

The cats out of the bag now ,and I actually doubt, Sony at least, is all that upset.

I'm pretty sure Sony wants people to know the three of them are in this thing.

Feige is another story.

It's Feige who wants to keep alot of things surrounding this film a secret, including the Tobey and Andrew.

Who ever leaked this probably went against his desires more than Sony's , if we're talking about outrage level.

I'd be shocked if Sony was super upset about this.

In all the seriou, Sony coud have made TDK style ad campaign! How they left several clue online and in actual geograph locations, they ask fans to go to places or try to solve clue, then slowly villain is shown. They coud do this with all these evil men villain. Then slow by slow reveal Tobs and Andrew’s involvements as well. But all leaked everywhere like baby toilet haha

Exactly. Bringing these old villains back without their corresponding Spider-Men wouldn't have made much sense.

All these people saying Campea’s gonna get sued—nah hes not. What would be the point of Disney suing a little guy like him? Campea will be fine but he now may very well may not get press screening invites anymore and now his reputation is forever going to be associated as the guy who spoiled No Way Home.

But i mean…I’m sure hes gonna wake up to thousands of new YT subs tomorrow so i guess its a win for him. Lol

As for Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, I am expecting a soft reboot as in his past with Wilson Fisk will be a part of his character arc but he's going to tell new stories and interact with new characters. I find it hard to believe that they are going to totally reboot the character as if he never interacted with Wilson Fisk.
