Wish I could dig this one more but I keep watching it and I'm not, I think the other one was better edited and had a nice build. This one didn't really build to anything and was jerky with the pacing, it felt pretty bizarre on first watch and still feels off. They for sure showed a lot of cool stuff but the way it was doled out could have been better. The only real glue it has is the MJ bits at beginning and end.

Optimism in this thread is so refreshing lmao

Honestly we’re getting a Spider-verse live action film. We’re living in a time where Marvel are kings of cinema and Spidey has never been so popular.

Sure we all have our favourite films etc but personally I like to rejoice in all the wonderful content we get to enjoy.

Classic villains, Doctor Strange, 3 Peter’s, a cool story. Our comic books come to life, I don’t want to take it for granted.

Can’t wait for 17th December!

No Andrew, no Tobey, GThe goblin barely appears and look more like a cameo than an important character... Meh.

This trailer reminded me about everything i hate about Iron Boy, meta "jokes", quips, Ganke...

After so many years when MCU became the most beloved brand Feige still feel the need to put dumb jokes about comic book character names as if the audience weren't used to them already and had to wink at them "yeah, we know! that's so silly!"

The name Otto Octavius doesn't even sound silly in any way, and in the context of this world wherethe characters say "Captain America" with a straight face, it is already cringeworthy.

Once tickets are on sale, another trailer would be pointless

Endgame released a one minute trailer (Special Look) the day tickets went on sale, three weeks before opening day.
So, it is possible that they do that.

It seems that they builded the big fight with all the villains and last minute they decided to cut the part when SM (TH version) gets help from other SMs... I really hate the version when the only ally is Octavius.

Honestly, it was a decent trailer. For people like us (well most) who care about TM and AG being in the film they have placed enough in there (the scaffolding etc from the leaks) that pretty much confirms them both being in the film.

Of course they are also in the movie....... they will make TONS of money from the toy sales.

Trailer was pretty good. Of course, some people was going to get dissapointed.
Everyone wanted something different out of this trailer. Me included!
I really wanted a Tobey and Andrew reveal in some form. But here we are!

Still, the general audiences will eat this thing up. And the trailer promises lots of good stuff.
Lots of villians, multiversal shenanigans, and Peter struggling with lots of personal sh*t...
"Pretty standard Spider-man stakes" as Peter B. Parker would say.
So I´m ready for this now... Also, I love Peter making fun of Ock´s name. Spider-man making fun of his enemies (specially Octopus) always brings joy to my heart...

Anyway... it might be a good moment to get out of this forums and mute a bunch of words that start with "spider" in twitter... :hehe:

What I posted a few days ago in the gen discussion thread:
My stance is, you can unveil most of the villains, and maybe drop a line at the end that's rich in implication. That would honestly be good enough for me.

In short: I'm happy.

Still can't believe they're doing this man. Can't wait to see it.

Is it safe to watch the trailer, or do guys feel like it gives away too much? I never like it when they show you all the big action set pieces.

The trailer reveals all five villains, but doesn't give away any real big plot points.

Kinda disappointed. I think not showing Tobey and Andrew was a mistake because they won't get the casual fans to go see it without showing them.

On the other hand, it looks like Electro is going to kill Doc Ock which is going to be extremely dumb. We haven't seen Doc Ock in the final fight anyway. Doc Ock helping Spider-Man is kinda dumb in itself.

On the other, other hand, the whole movie is on a rocky foundation because of Dr. Strange. Dr. Strange is the problem of the movie because he's too powerful. The last scene of the trailer was ridiculous. ''They're coming through and I can't stop them''. Really? How about throwing them all in mirror dimension? Did writers think of that? I'd love to know how many weeks the writers spent on that scene to finally come up with the ''I can't stop them even though I obviously can'' crap. Mirror dimension and movie is over in 15 minutes. That's the problem. No need for 3 or even 1 Spider-Man. The only way the movie works is if Dr. Strange dies right away so he's not there, which is obviously not going to happen.

It's completely unrealistic and utterly dumb to think Dr. Strange couldn't take on the sinister 6. Actually, it's not even sinister 6 because there are 5 of them to begin with. It's not even sinister 5 if Doc Ock becomes the good guy and helps Peter out. And seeing the first trailer which showed Sandman (who's not even the bad guy at all) protecting Peter from Electro, then it's sinister 3. What kind of **** is that? You're telling me Strange can't throw Electro, Lizard and Goblin in mirror dimension then and there if not in the very beginning when they first show up? Please...

I love the idea of seeing 3 Spider-Men on screen, even though I mostly just want to see Tobey again, but I don't see the need for any of them since Strange is there. I really don't and that's why this movie probably won't be good.

Somebody should do a side-by-side of the shots from Amazing Spider-Man 2 with Spidey jumping after Gwen and compare it to the shots at the end of this trailer 'cause I'm pretty sure that's what they're going for. Andrew Spidey getting the redemption of saving this falling person would be nice.
Yeah that needs to happen. Could be a great emotional moment.

This is an odd thing to say. We don't see Green Goblin in those shots either, does that mean he was killed off too? Plus a leak from a very reliable source, reliable to the point where basically everything we've seen of this movie lines up with it, says that all three Spider-Men fight all of the villains on Liberty Island.

You see Doc Ock at night getting rocked by a huge Electro lightning bolt and falling off the building. Sure, he might not die, but it looks like he will. Also, you see Goblin in one of the shots at night on the Island (in his new look without the helmet). Either way, it's all janky because Dr. Strange can throw them all in mirror dimension and be done with it.

Trailer was good but I expected to see more. They should have shown Green Goblin more. Also I really hope that Thomas Haden Church will be back as Sandman. It would be stupid if he doesn't appear in human form. I wish they would have showed him.

I honestly think it’s funny how they laugh at his name but know a guy named happy hogan. That has to be the dumbest name I’ve ever heard .

Everyone knows only good guys are allowed to have dumb names.

The best shot of the entire trailer.

I’m optimistic on the film still and loved the first trailer.
I'm optimistic as well, and while I didn't love the first trailer, the ending reveal of ock made the whole thing for me. I'm still excited, I just think that, with me, the realization that this is still a John watts/MCU film with Raimi characters is still setting in a little. I'm so used to Raimis cinematography and style being attached to both ock and goblin, so it's a bit of a shock for me. Also that I feel the CGI looked much better in 2004 as well. But I am still excited.
