Trailer was a little disappointing but I didn't know Sandman was in this so that's a pleasant surprise. Still had some good shots which make me excited for the movie.

And what's with people hating on Zendaya?
Actress or character?

Meh. Didn't see anything in the trailer worth crying tears of joy over. But hey, if general audience members loved this trailer more than me, that is fine.

Like I earlier, the trailers for this as of now make me feel like this will be on par with the first 2 Holland movies. Which would put it somewhere in the middle of the pack of the MCU for me if I I right.

The only films that are even comparable is EG and IW
Far From Home Trailer is at 84 million from Sony YouTube Page. That’s definitely getting beat in few days

I mean freaking No Way Home was like 2m views after like 3 minutes of release I noticed. It’s gonna be a good Christmas
Nice. Glad to see non-Avengers films also putting up huge numbers.

Zendaya is a fantastic actress, but her character in these movies has been forgettable for me.
Agreed, especially in Homecoming. I hope they give her much better material in this film (more chance as she seems more important than before).

.

This is pretty much how I feel as well.

Kinda disappointed. I think not showing Tobey and Andrew was a mistake because they won't get the casual fans to go see it without showing them.

On the other hand, it looks like Electro is going to kill Doc Ock which is going to be extremely dumb. We haven't seen Doc Ock in the final fight anyway. Doc Ock helping Spider-Man is kinda dumb in itself.

On the other, other hand, the whole movie is on a rocky foundation because of Dr. Strange. Dr. Strange is the problem of the movie because he's too powerful. The last scene of the trailer was ridiculous. ''They're coming through and I can't stop them''. Really? How about throwing them all in mirror dimension? Did writers think of that? I'd love to know how many weeks the writers spent on that scene to finally come up with the ''I can't stop them even though I obviously can'' crap. Mirror dimension and movie is over in 15 minutes. That's the problem. No need for 3 or even 1 Spider-Man. The only way the movie works is if Dr. Strange dies right away so he's not there, which is obviously not going to happen.

It's completely unrealistic and utterly dumb to think Dr. Strange couldn't take on the sinister 6. Actually, it's not even sinister 6 because there are 5 of them to begin with. It's not even sinister 5 if Doc Ock becomes the good guy and helps Peter out. And seeing the first trailer which showed Sandman (who's not even the bad guy at all) protecting Peter from Electro, then it's sinister 3. What kind of **** is that? You're telling me Strange can't throw Electro, Lizard and Goblin in mirror dimension then and there if not in the very beginning when they first show up? Please...

I love the idea of seeing 3 Spider-Men on screen, even though I mostly just want to see Tobey again, but I don't see the need for any of them since Strange is there. I really don't and that's why this movie probably won't be good.

Same.

There's waaaaay too much Strange so far and this version of Spiderman continues to feel hog tied to MCU power hitters. Obviously we don't know enough about the plot yet - but with Strange's involvement the whole thing feels a bit non-sensical given his power set. Albeit I'm willing to bet he gets sidetracked with some convenient plot device about the multiverse preventing him from taking part in the movie's final showdown with the villains - which may be that whole "I can't stop it" line.

I dunno, I wanted to like this trailer but it was just so amateurish. I get a sense Feige knows he has the fans in his back pocket so at this stage they're just putting whatever they want out there with far less QC.

I honestly think it’s funny how they laugh at his name but know a guy named happy hogan. That has to be the dumbest name I’ve ever heard .

I heard people say this for Pepper Potts too when Iron Man 1 came out.

Y’all are crazy if you think casuals won’t go see this bc they weren’t in the trailer. All you have to do is look at the buzz on social media and YouTube. Everyone knows they are in the film but SONY is preserving the theater experience as the first place to see them. Opening night/weekend will be sold out everywhere and fandango will crash within minutes on 11/29.

I am actually relieved that the legacy Spider-Men weren't revealed in this trailer. I truly believe the best surprise should be saved for the experience even if something more inevitable leaks beforehand.

With that being said though, the teaser trailer hyped me up more than this one did

Trailer was pretty, but I'm expecting this film to be a mess and lackluster after reading the initial leaks all the way back, which seems pretty spot on at this point.

So, they definitely removed the gold webshooters from the Integrated Suit, which is an interesting change. The removed bulk streamlines the suit a little bit, but it makes the gold symbol look more random and standout.

I've been warming up to the suit, but I do like the change. Gives off Spider-Man PS4 vibes. Has to suck to be a collector. None of this film's early merchandise is going to match the final film's product.

Wow! Just saw a alternate fanmade trailer of Tobey and Andrew again the villans. That looks badass.

I am curious to see what we're left with after this universe "convergence". Will it fix some of the complaints and leave us with a better Disney/Sony relationship that makes sense or will it fracture and just end weird.

Also Ock's comment about Holland/Peter not being Peter implies that his Peter looks different . . . .

I'm optimistic as well, and while I didn't love the first trailer, the ending reveal of ock made the whole thing for me. I'm still excited, I just think that, with me, the realization that this is still a John watts/MCU film with Raimi characters is still setting in a little. I'm so used to Raimis cinematography and style being attached to both ock and goblin, so it's a bit of a shock for me. Also that I feel the CGI looked much better in 2004 as well. But I am still excited.

This is exactly the problem for me.

It's interesting seeing so many complaints about the CGI. IMO the visuals in this don't seem particularly worse than than a lot of standard MCU stuff. It's not even so much the CGI (which isn't great) for me, it's the flat, lifeless cinematography with such heavy green screen. And it's not a Sony issue. The Venom movies, as dumb and goofy as they are, look a lot better than this. The CGI in Let Their Be Carnage was pretty fantastic actually, imo.

But I'm wondering if actually seeing the same characters whose movies looked better two decades ago is finally starting to make more people realize it.

That said, I do think this movie should be a lot of fun. Seeing more from Ock and Goblin did bring up some emotion for me. It just made me wonder how much more impact this might have if it didn't feel like such a middle of the pack MCU flick.

Also, I think fans should brace themselves for mixed reviews and just enjoy the ride. Member berries + convoluted plot and CGI-fest is a recipe for critics to have a go at it. This isn't going to be a movie for the critics, you just have to embrace that I think. I'm not trying to be a downer here, I mean it. If this movie means a lot to you and seeing Tobey/Andrew on screen again will be a huge moment, then just enjoy it and don't worry about critical response. I may be a bit cynical about the film, but I'm really hoping that Tobey will hit me in the feels when it happens. That's all I want out of this.

Doc Ock looks MUCH worse than he did in 2004, but everyone else looks fine. Electro and Goblin even look a bit better IMO

The CGI spectacle with the purple skies honestly gives me JLTC vibes and looks a bit ugly. An overload of CGI is never fun, I’ll take character moments over spectacle any day.

I’ll wait to judge but the amount of CGI is concerning tbh. I didn’t like this trailer and Spidey is my no1 Marvel character and this is my no1 hyped Marvel movie.

You’re over-estimating the intelligence of the normies lol. Some audiences need things spelled out for them.

I had a pretty lukewarm reaction to the trailer last night but letting it all settle in, i have a cooler head about it. I wanted the villains to have more of a spotlight in the trailer, I want to get some sort of indication that they're not just gonna pop up inn act III and act as punching bags. It'd be nice if they had arcs. I mean you're likely PAYING millions of $$ to bring a big name like Jamie Foxx back I would assume he's going to have speaking lines and be there for a reason. I want the villains' screen time to have weight.

Also, the third act battle doesnt look very aesthetically pleasing. It looks a bit ugly, it may be the CGI throwing me off.

The black Spidey suit looked so fake to me. Like a moving action figure lol.
