I'd need to find it, but I thought I read an article about how the Avengers team was working on it. Of course when you say that, it's left vague, so it could mean anything.

I feel like they had 10+ effects houses working on Avengers. That stuff was spread thin.

Yes. And Spider-Man takes the piss out of character's names all the time, even when he isn't teen boy, hanging with his friends. There is no Otto Octavius that he's aware of. Without said knowledge, how is that name not rather ridiculous?

Why everyone blame Sony? They didn't show Tobey and Andrew because Disney wouldn't let them put them in.

That's a misconception. It's been stated Sony is still 100% in charge of the NWH marketing and what they do or do not show. Kevin Feige has some involvement, but that just borders on knowing when they'll release something or not.

Plus, they organized this whole pointless event building things up and giving people false expectations with those descriptions when an ordinary trailer release would have sufficed.

Sony can be whatever they want, it's their property. If they choose not to show them in the trailers or marketing for this movie, that's their decision and no one else's. They clearly want to save this surprise for GA not in the know, save that movie theater experience. Can't really blame them for that.

There were many reports that Sony wanted to show Tobey and Andrew and Disney passed on the idea and went against it. Its not Sonys idea to save them. Sony by all accounts wanted to use this event to show them off. Disney passed.

Vulture, Mysterio, or someone who hasnt made their live action theatrical debut yet?

It would feel weird to not have because those 2 are two of the classic members from the 60s/90s comics stories and were "Hollands' " previous two main villains.

My theory has always been Mysterio. He ties directly back to why Spidey's in trouble. If he's on trial for killing him, what better way to solve that, then to show he's alive.

Zendaya is actually a really good actress, but man I have not enjoyed her in any of these MCU Spider-Man movies even going back to Homecoming and it looks like this won't be any different.

The writing and overall direction with her version of MJ is so lackluster IMO and I still don't feel any genuine chemistry between her and Holland which is weird considering they are supposed to be a real life couple.

There is a foreign language version trailer in which Lizard looks like it got punched in the head midair by an invisible man at the end. Perhaps Claude Rains play a surprise character.

Overall, the trailer doesn’t look particularly interesting to me maybe I’m just not that into Spider-Man. Will still pay my cinema homage to it though but thinking not the first weekend when it’s guaranteed to be super sold out good seats will be hard to come by especially with this capacity limit.

Or the stories happened off screen and villains like lizard, sandman and electro eventually got killed, which I doubt.

I just noticed the scene where Doc Ock is right about to hit Spider-Man unprotected chest with one of his arms, he unmask to send the nanotech back to the chest (what’s left of it)

I don’t know if I just have incredibly low standards…but I’ve never really been bothered at all by “bad MCU CGI”, or even thought of it as “bad”. In fact, the Doc Ock bridge fight looks hype and the recreation of GG’s suit is pretty nostalgic!

Then again, I am a huge Godzilla fan, so I’m not really the best judge of quality when it comes to film.
