Agreed.Just terrible.
That's a crappy thing to tweet out to the rest of the world.

Oh man, not what I want to hear - but every sign of it in that trailer.Apparently there is massive crunch going on for this. We are talking week of release type stuff.
Is Sony using their in-house effects company for this?
Ock looks so ****ing bad in the bridge sequence.
Part of me thinks this is some Endgame type of tinkering for trailer purposes. Perhaps the other two Spider-Men are here in this shot and they've edited them out.
I loved this. They are kids. It's funny. I also love this MJ. She was okay in the first flick, but I felt like she really came into her own in the second. Her little exchange with Strange, was on point considering his general rudeness, and the fact that yes, this is all his fault. No way he should have agreed to do this spell in the first place, and then not put any safe guards in.This caused me physical pain.
Yep. On the plus side, they can just add some bug fixes and DLC post-launch like Cats. It'll be fine.Oh man, not what I want to hear - but every sign of it in that trailer.
Supposedly they brought in previous VFX teams from the Raimi and Webb films, but I think a lot of it is still being done by Marvel's teams from Infinity War and Endgame. Is Sony using their in-house effects company for this?

Two of my favorites.MJ and Ned are main characters.

But alas, the young female zoomer speaks, and the grown men groan.![]()
How does it show contempt for the source material?Gonna have to disagree on this one Darth. Just an awful joke that shows contempt for the source material. Also it was done better in SM2. “What are the odds?”

They have a Marvel effects team? I did not know that. I guess they all can't be A team ILM.Supposedly they brought in previous VFX teams from the Raimi and Webb films, but I think a lot of it is still being done by Marvel's teams from Infinity War and Endgame.
A lot of that CG is truly bad. There's maybe two or three shots that look good, most of them are of the Iron Spider. I mean who thought that OG Goblin shot was good needs to be fired. Which leads to a bigger question of why that shot was even CG when you could've easily put someone in that suit.![]()
You mean when cam footage of them are leaked online a few days before premiere. Because that will inevitably happen. We all already knew half of the population would come back by the end of Avengers Endgame. It was obvious.
Yet, they didn't show the portals scene in any trailer prior to the movie.
The "surprise" wasn't really a surprise, but we were all excited to see it on the big screen anyways.
I'm confident this will be the same. We know Tobey and Andrew are there. Seeing them together for the first time on the movie theater will be quite the experience.
How does it show contempt for the source material?
That was cringe, no question, but it is actually consistent with MCU Spider-Man for thinking weird surnames are fake. Remember in Infinity War when Strange introduced himself as Steven Strange to Peter which then lead to Pete to mistakenly assume Strange was using his superhero moniker because he thought the name was too ridiculous to be his real name? This caused me physical pain.
Why doesn't it fit? Because that feels just like the MJ and Strange I have known since their debuts in the MCU. The girl who refused to go up a historical monument because of it's history of construction and that's the same Strange who has annoyed Wong, Thor and Tony.To each their own.
That segment with Strange and MJ was one of the most out of place poorly done pieces of dialogue for the MCU Spider-Man. It doesn't fit at all.
Technically I think Electro is the only one who was actually killed by Spider-Man. Goblin died fighting Spider-Man but he technically killed himself. As for the rest, Ock sacrificed himself after turning good and Lizard and Sandman survived so I don't know what the deal is with that line either. Also he mentions them all dying to spiderman, but spidey didnt kill sandman right? He just kind of disbursed and blew away, no?
My feelings exactly, man. It almost feels like they've pretty much disrespected ock as a character from S-M2. The humor is awful and the cinematography looks really bland too. I'm praying the movie itself is far better and it's just a trailer, but overall, oof!My goodness this trailer was rather poor. If that is at all indicative of the tone and dialogue of the movie then it drastically lowers my expectations of it. The trio laughing at Octavius' name was pure cringe. Strange's Scooby Doo line made me want to puke. A lot of the CGI looked very very iffy.
The only things that popped out in that trailer in terms of excitement was seeing Molina and Dafoe. The rest ranged from forgettable to cringe. I sincerely hope this is not the flavor of movie we are getting. Please, please, PLEASE let this be a misleading trailer.
I heard Tom Holland was there. So did any of the cast members show up for tonight's event?
