Kaare sounds very passionate about this project. It has the potential makings of a classic, but we'll see.

Something... i'm actually interested in... that features Spider-Man

People are already comparing this to DKR. I hope thats not the case. :p

I'm going to compare it to that Hot Girl that everyone wanted in school... she looked good at first, but you were never sure if she'd go on to be successful or go on to have two chins and stomach cleavage :(

Sounds interesting, and Andrews' art is always impressive. Despite my affection for continuity, I'm a lot more interested in this out of continuity story than anything going on with Spider-Man in continuity. I'd say that's good enough to warrant buying it.

I loved DKR.:O

You didn't like it Darth?I am talking about the original, not the sequel.

I liked it for what it is, an Elseworld, but far too many of these DC writers like Meltzer keep saying "To me DKR is canon" and sorry guys, but youre idiots.

Yeah, DKR worked as a bleak, dystopic view of DC's future from Batman's perspective, and it was a great story in that light. But as a potential "real" future for DC's Earth, it blows.

this looks like it has some potential. that's based mainly on the covers though.

the interior art looks like kaare is ripping kolins.

but he's kaare. he can do what he wants.

spiderman beating some burglar with nothing but socks, mask, and boxers...

I'm picking this up:up:

Yeah. Great Elseworld, not so good cannon. Still, the idea of old guy Spidy coming out of retirement sounds sweet. I wonder if it will relate, storywise, to the possible future JMS had in issue 500. You know, Pete dying fighting a whole squad of SWAT officers after being charged with murder.

I enjoyed that trade.I think it was Happy Birthday I believe? No totem, ezekiel, or spider-god mumbo jumbo.

It still boggles my mind how people just write off the Ezekiel stuff as lame simply because it involved magic, which apparently became anathema in a Spider-Man title somewhere along the way. The spider-god stuff was pretty lame, granted, but the Ezekiel stuff was good, in my opinion.

Looks pretty cool

Yeah. I don't see how Magic = bad for Spider-Man. I was a fan of all of that stuff. Except for "The Other." And that's only because I didn't read "The Other" (which, I've heard, was the essence of suck in comic book form).

That's what I first thought when I read the article. Looks interesting, though. I might have to check it out.

I never bring the Ezekiel stuff up, but I hate the Spider-Totem garbage, it just ruins the essence of the character IMO. And no, The Question, dont reply, im not in the modd for a 2 page debate.:o

That's just not my cup of tea when it comes to Spider-Man.But that's just me.
