Comics Spider-Man solicits for July '09

I think Harry is gonna find out Peter is Spider-Man again.

and hopefully MJ's back in ASM 600

I'm excited for these. It just looks like.... fun. The Spidey books are getting better, slowly, but surely. That's not opinion, that's fact. It seems the further away we get from OMD, the more confident and comfortable the writers are with the direction and the better the quality becomes. The brain-trust is learning what works, what doesn't and they're functioning like a more cohesive unit. Also, the bad writers (like Gale) are getting weeded out and replaced with better scribes. Compare the stories we're getting now to what we were getting a year ago.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL #36
Written by MARC GUGGENHEIM
Penciled by PATRICK OLLIFFE
Cover by OLIVIER COIPEL
As Peter Parker prepares for the 2nd most important wedding day of his life, a new enemy brutally rises up from Spidey's past. Plus the introduction of some brand new family members promises to make this a wedding that he wishes never happened!
Aloha,
Since Peter's going to a wedding with brand new family members, I still think Aunt May is the one getting married.
On another note-If you check out BND Annual, the top left hand corner says 1/35 regarding it's numbering. But Annual 2001 was #35, which means that the BND Annual should have been 1/36 and this new annual is actually #37. Or Unless Marvel is saying that in 1995 there was no Amazing Spider-Man Annual but instead the Amazing Spider-Man Special (Planet of the Symbiotes/Legend of the ArachClone), then the numbering makes sense.

Well, if JJJ Sr. marries Aunt May, that would make him Peter's step-Uncle, which would make JJJ Peter's step-cousin...

I think Aunt May getting married would be a great character progression point for the character. May can finally move on past Uncle Ben and get on with the rest of her life, i think it opens the doors to tons of story possibilities and it progresses the character.

I completely agree about May. I liked what JMS did with her character, and I think the idea of JJJ being related to Pete is hilarious.

Well, as always, I'm in for Spider-Man Family, but it looks like I'll be picking up ASM#600, so long as I can get a John Romita Sr Variant! If I can't get that, then the JRJR cover will have to do (as it is also awesome).

Don't care much for the Alex Ross cover.

Yes, John Romita Sr is awesome.

I just hope MJ is in #600...

And finally the newspapaer strip HC!!!!

Lol, very true. Oh man, that would make for some pretty interesting stuff in the future.

Spectacular Spider-Girl - "Former Spider-Girl Clone"
What the heck does that mean??????

They introduced Spider-Girl's clone in the final arc of the Amazing Spider-Girl series. Looks like she's sticking around at least as a supporting character.
