"Mind on Fire" Part 2 of 2
The Molten Man's powers are out of control, setting the world ablaze around him, and destroying his own body and mind within. This is it, his final and brightest burn. And all he cares about is taking Harry Osborn with him! Can Spider-Man pull his best friend's fat out of this fire? And, with what Harry's been up to, should he? All this plus: a secret surprise from Liz Allan, and a major Spider-Mystery is finally solved.
32 PGS./Rated A …$2.99

hasn't he burned out already before, while trying to take Spidey with him? his powers fizzed out in the same way. I noticed they are copying alot of old school stories...

but don't get me wrong this not a rant...
I'm just wondering how he came back in the first place?

Okay, I need to see the preview and cover for X-Men/Spider-Man #3 which should be included in the X-Men solicits if it's not here I guess. It stars Ben freakin' Reilly. The cover might be the first pic of him in action in over a decade. Anyone have a cover?

Me too. Is there a link to the 'First Look for the X-Men comics'? I tried searching the Marvel site, but I find it hard to navigate...

Ahh i dont think its been released yet? Or else I cant find it either.

I don't find myself that excited about the JRSr cover. Maybe I've just seen Romita Sr draw that same dumb, blank grin on Peter's face for 40 years, but his Peter here looks interchangeable with every other Peter he's ever drawn.

Then again, I was always a Ditko guy (or even a JRJr guy)! :oldrazz:

HAha yeah. It could definitely be a cover to an issue he drew 'back in the day'. It looks very retro- basically the tone they want to set for the continuity and the storylines these days...

I'll just take the death of Molten man as "having been retconned" and no one really knows how or why nor cares. thanks for all the help guys!

Molten Man was in a story after Peter unmasked. And he was in stories during the clone-saga, and the Gathering of Five. And before that he was around when Harry was descending into insanity and being the Goblin.

If he died and came back, it must have been a long time ago.

Oh no, history isn't repeating at all.

And brother, they're really laying it on thick with Peter Parker goes on a date with that cover for ASM #583.

*sigh*

The solicits for Spider-Girl may as well say, "Say goodbye to the marriage, as the last 4 issues roll out!"

Honestly, Amazing sounds like massive rehash. I honestly feel like I'm seeing reprints of older stories with some new (albeit awesome) covers. I see nothing that really adds to anything. Peter dating....Molten Man dying...

Why not have Peter need a way around town and have the Human Torch build Spidey a car....a Spider-Mobile!!!

I'm aware of that....I just want to know how he came back. :csad:

I thought that began around the time that Peter became Tony Stark's sidekick...

I'd be excited for 'Character Assassination" if only guggenheim wasn't writing. He's not worthy of JRJR's beautiful artwork, Dan Slott earned his right, but Guggenheim is just horrible.
