Spider tracers, if they go the receiver route. The signal would be a little hokey in live action.

Spider-Tracers and they should look like this..

I feel as if UltraLantern has been going through really, really old threads and resurrecting them recently...

...because that's exactly what they've been doing.

The spider tracers would be really cool to see on screen and it can work perfectly. The spider signal on the other hand... NO. Way to cheesy and stupid.

^ Agreed.

Spider-tracers works really well in a sliver screen than spider-signal does....easily.

LOL, mhm now I am in the mood for digging through really old threads :P

The spider-signal (or atleast a belt mounted flashlight) is not cheesy... it's practical. It's no more 'cheesy' than miners or underground construction workers wearing flashlights on their helmets. I mean c'mon, he goes into sewers for **** sake, how is it not sensible for him to bring a light? (begin sarcasm) You know what I think is cheesy, utility belts on police officers I mean hello, lame (end sarcasm).
I'd like to see both tracers and signal.

old tread ha ha :awesome:

for me, spider tracers.

picture this, spidey is handed his arse and just before he falls unconscious he plants a tracer on the lizard. when spidey wakes up he follows the single to...Dr. conners' house?!!

so you get the conflict of spidey knowing who the villian and knowing if he doesn't bring him in he will feel guilt everytime the lizard hurts someone but will also feel guilt if he turns in a good man.

What's cheesy (or at least seen as cheesy) about the Spider-Signal isn't the light itself, but that it projects Spidey's face in said light.

I want a spider-signal, it had better be in the movie..

I agree, no Signal, too BATMANish.

The Tracer would be cool.

I'd say both, cause he uses the signal also as an ultra violet light and things like that when investigating things. Also, when he's fighting like normal thugs he usually just shines in it on them to make a big appearance.

Neither.

The tracers are kind of unrealistic for a high schooler to have. You can argue all you want he's a genius, but does he have the money and resources to build a never-ending supply of high-tech tracers?

And the signal is a Batman knock-off.

So, neither work.

In the age of smartphones and ever-watching satellites, following every step of ours, I don't think the tracers are too far fetched.

I chose the tracer because I think it serves a better purpose. In this case, Spider-Man can track his enemies, for example. Although a Spider Signal would be nice, it doesn't really serve anything other than looks, and maybe even as a flashlight.

If Bat-Signal is not cheesy, then how can a Spider-Signal look cheesy ?

Well, it depends on the execution, how it is shown in the movie, If Spider-Man uses it when he is in a dark-place, like sewer then it would make sense.

Signal projecting the face of Spidey will look cheesy though.

Spider-tracers are a must, they have to include them.

The tracers is stomping the signal...and with good reason.
