Damn my 56k, All I'm getting is a quick flash of something I'm guessing is Venom... Shame it won't load properly for me...

The original is a bit bigger. I had to open a putfile.com account because sites like photobucket would have shrunk it to 200k and made it look horrible and grainy.
Look carefully at the flashes, theres a brief glimpse of Aunt Mays Bum.

Holy crap that is just cool! Of course it's easy to tell that's Spawn at the end, and I hope the Venom face doesn't come on like that, But using Spawn was really cool.

In the comics (of which I'm a HUGE Spawn fan) Spawn's costume used to behave exactly like the Venom symbiote. Awesome

So bascially Spawn is just a repeat of Venom with a different origin story.

That's frickin amazing! I know the Venom/Spawn thing is a nice touch, but what I'm impressed the most about is probably the use of showing Sandman. You have the sand appearing through the keyhole and then JJJ reading the paper with sandy on the front page. It just builds up the whole amazingness of S-M3. Brilliant work

So bascially Spawn is just a repeat of Venom with a different origin story.

I personally think the symbiote costume idea works just as well for both. It shows how good an idea it really is with the fact that it has two different applications with Spawn and Venom:-

1)Venom is part man part alien and the creature is actually described as a 'symbiote'. It can mimic clothes, lash out with tendrils and basically has a mind of it's own too. Loud noises drive it crazy and fire is a weakness.

2)Spawn's costume has a funky name (which I have forgot - big fan!!!!!) and was created in the fires of hell from necroplasm. It too can mimic clothes and has a mind of it's own and in some of the issues has actually been seperated from Spawn. Then there's the frikkin' huge spikes and chains that come from it. Venom wishes he had those babies. Spawns costume has no weaknesses, apart from these days it seems very sub-dued and not used like it used to be.

So I guess they are very close but if you read them you'd buzz from the likenesses but also respect the differences they have

Oh, and one more thing they share.........

The white chest symbol which is a spider for venom and an 'M' for Spawn.
They look different (slightly) but you can see the Venom origin in Spawn, still black and white with a white chest symbol and a symbiotic suit

The other thing is where Venoms eyes are white and huge Spawn has a 'Venom eye-shaped mask' around green eyes.

But you guys know all this

It would've been even greater (exponentially) if you could've gotten "Gwen Stacy" in there somehow... I can't imagine how much work that would take though.

LOL...I THOUGHT EVERYONE KNEW ABOUT THAT.

TODD MCFARLANE DID 'ASM', AND THEN 'SPIDER-MAN'. WHEN HE LEFT TO DO HIS OWN THING, THERE WAS ALOT OF CONTROVERSY AROUND HOW MUCH HIS FIRST "NEW" CHARACTER RESEMBLED VENOM SO MUCH. IRONICALLY, HE LOOKS MORE LIKE HIM IN THE MOVIE, THAN IN THE COMICS; IN THE COMICS HE HAD MORE OF A 'BATMAN' FEEL, IMO.

yaaaaaaaaaay! I had a huge debate with symbiotica like 2 years ago regarding this... thank god someone knows their comic backgrounds too
