Hey guys i just noticed that there was no thread for this yet if anyone has any info on the comic based on a movie based on a comic just post it here

(im talkin about the sm3 comic)

Translation: Anyone know about the GN adaption?

I think so- there was a pic of it (I think) in the pics forum.

Or at least it looked very official-

so there must be a third on the way!

yeah but when i looked on marvels website and there was no mention of it

The first Spider-Man Movie Adaptation was great. Spider-Man 2's was about crap. The art was pretty cheap on some parts, but my main problem is that it was really lazy. It went too fast and went into no detail, and I didn't like it as much as the first one.

Then the Fantastic Four movie adaptation was dissapointing too.

Let's hope they get this book right.

probly will be one. thats how these companies make money. make a movie and make millions on merchandising. i can almost guarantee it.

I'm not sure there will be one. It hasn't been solicited, and I don't recall there being one for X3 either. Maybe they stopped making them?

I couldnt care less, the adaptations of SM1 and 2 were rubbish. Comic book based on a movie based on a comic book? Strange world...

I totally agree. The only comic adaptation I've enjoyed was the one for the 1st Ninja Turtle movie. It had stuff they didn't show in theaters.

^^ and the Batman (1989) one possibly the best ever IMO, Ordways art was simply beautiful, if it were awoman, i'd have married it.

ok maybe not, who'd wash the pots??

Why are comic adaptations of movies automatically bad? I know of plenty that were actually pretty good. I mean, if you're complaining about the story, they have to follow a strict guidline. What else is there to complain about with you guys? Art? For the most part it is on the money. Batman 1989, BEGINS, Superman Returns, and a few others will all pretty damn good comic adaptations.

I like the latest Batman so far. They should definitely stick with that direction and i cant wait for the next one. I believe that the spidey movies have been great so far mixing comic and movie. the third one will definitely be great!

No, they are awful. Comic adaptions of movies never work, because you are taking a comic story, turning it into a film, and then turning that into a comic. You're diluting a comic through another medium. There are a lot of things you change when you turn a comic into a movie because they don't work in a movie. But then when you turn that back into a comic, you're missing the very things that made it work as a comic.

When you say, 'if you're complaining about the story, they have to follow a strict guidline' - well obviously, and it's not their fault, but that does not change the fact that the comics are lame.
