I saw the trailer with the screening of Superman I saw. Freakin ROCKED!!!! (both the trailer at the Superman flick). Loved how it seemed to copy the scene where Pete sleep swings into the city while wearing the suit and hangs upside down in Spiderman: The Animated Series.

I'm guessing you haven't seen it in theaters yet? I was a little disappointed with the way Sandman looked when I watched the teaser on Apple.com the other day, but it looks a lot better on the big screen. I don't get why his mouth has to be open, but it looked pretty good.

And I didn't see any moping Peter Parker in the teaser, so I'd appreciate it if you could point him out to me.

Sand is hard to do in computer animation. Like some of you said, I hope the effects get better. For what it's worth, I think Raimi is an amazing director and I don't think his story will dissapoint.

I don't think it matters how big Topher is. Even if Eddie Brock were a muscleman, Spider-Man would be able to take him down without breaking a sweat. It's all about the symbiote. The symbiote and the attitude of the person wearing it is what makes Venom creepy. If Topher gives off the impression that he's really willing to kill Peter and he thinks he has the ability to do it, then he's done his job in my oipnion.
