Based on what I saw in the trailer here is some things I think will happen in the movie:

Put in spoilers because it could be possible and I don't want to be the one to spoil things.

There was a photo of Dr. Doom from the sequal without his metal skin. I noticed in the trailer that Surfer blasts a hooded figure. And it is said that Surfer can change peoples powers and other things like that (power cosmic).
So here is what I think.
Surfer turns Dr. Doom from a metal skinned power having guy into a normal human. And because he doesn't want to be normal Dr. Doom puts on a suit of armor and becomes the Dr. Doom from the comics.

If this has already been posted then thats OK, and if everyone has already figured it out thats OK too.

The trailer was not revolutionary or anything, but it made me anxious about the movie.
And then I saw Spiderman 3.

And I got REALLY anxious to see the movie and hopefully have some fun instead of scratching my head all the time going WTF!?

Blasphemy!!! LOL...how could you not want to see an army of Doombots at Doom's command attacking the F4? They are a HUGE part of Doom's history....

True enough but I will be happy if they just show a robotic army, like the killer army he was building back in the last of the Lee/Kirby Doom arcs. Even if you destroyed it, the pieces would act independantly.

I meant it in the context of, I don't want normal skinned Victor to be a Doom Bot. The explanation given above is much more plausable.

If there are Doom bots, they should be sort of a military remote weapon.

I just don't want this to be I Robot.

And: from the trailer I got the impression that at least one of Doom's outfits will be Palpatine-like. That's too messed up, IMO.

Well you certainly have a right to your opinion....but I think the main stream audience will eat up the "switching power" thing, and in the whole scheme of things, its pretty cool IMO, as far as the novel goes...if they can get that to screen, it should be pretty cool....

As far as the cloud, again, who from Fox has confirmed a cloud? Thats one thing you can't take from the novel, because Galactus was finalized yet....

I couldn't tell anything about Doom from the trailer, didn't really see him. But I do know he does some pretty grusome stuff, and may just be a viable villain this time around.

As far as the Sue/Surfer thing....lmao, you like the one thing that most fans were upset about since they are pulling very far away from the comics with this part.....

So we will have to agree to disagree....

But hey, I'm not saying the movie will rock either.......I'll wait until 12:01 a.m. June 15th, watch the movie, and let ya know later that day.....

I must say that this trailer rocked and in the spirit of comparison, let's see how the visuals have improved over the course of a few months.

I must say while the teaser had near perfect SFX, the final trailer has definiately improved on all aspects. I'm glad SS doesn't have those hollow eyes and white pupils. Plus the texture seems alot smoother and glistens more with reflection. thank god Weta is doing the visuals.

Just based on what i've seen in the trailer the FF's molecules becoming unstable because of their encounter with the SS is a good idea.Some cool visuals (Torch with Reed's powers) and a chance for the actors to have a little fun (Johnny and Ben)

One of the other things i like is that this shows us that the 4 won't be stuck in New York. There will be lots of globetrotting which often happens in the comics (even to other planets and galaxies) - London, Egypt, China, Washington, Thailand, Hong Kong and i'm sure other countries will feat. in FF2.

I also love how Doom is teased. Hopefully they won't show too much of him or the rest of the movie from here on.

I was wondering the same thing. I'd say it's unfinished fx. The bit where she stops the helicopter doesn't have her forcefield fx either.
