Comics Spidey Clean Up Crew Needed

My dreamline of writers for the spiderman story arcs.

FrankMiller on SSM

Fiona Avery on FHSM

and

Tom Defaulco on AMSM

Ew. Fiona Avery. Did a Spidey book already, Sins Remembered, and it was a HORRIBLE story. Bad characterization. Bad plot. Bad everything.

Frank Miller on a Spider-Man book? Eh. First of all, I don't think Miller would even do a Spidey book, especially an ongoing title. He might do a miniseries that is in it's own elseworld because too many Spider-Man fans would complain and throw fits of rage....and make comments much like....this....

"Peter: Are you dense? Are you ******ed or something? Who the hell do you think I am? I'm the goddamn Spider-Man!"

"MJ: Uuuh... I know!"

thanks, but no thanks. when Miller stops sucking, maybe he could do a mini, but never an ongoing, specially now.

*sigh*

That joke, which lost it's luster months and months ago, is starting to get like the joke, "Why did the chicken cross the road! To GET TO THE OTHER SIDE!" HAHAHAHA!! I'm original! HA!

Tom Defalco is an awesome choice. Switch out Avery with J.M. DeMatteis and Miller with Dan Slott and we've got Spider-Man in the hands of true comic book professionals. Nothing against the current creators of the titles, like Sacasa who is a good fit for Sensational, but those three creators would kick ass.

Actually Sara Barnes wrote Sins Remembered. Avery worked on ASM (issues 55 and 56 I think) along with JMS. I can't remember what the arc was about, but I know it was kind of a fluff piece, nothing special.

That's right, that's right. I get them mixed up because they were both apparently "apprentices" of JMS'.

I believe Avery also wrote the Dr. Spectrum miniseries, which broke off of Supreme Power.

I'd take J.M. DeMatteis over Avery anyday, however. :o

How to fix everything:

Doctor Strange comes out of seclusion. He tells Pete that they've all been stuck in a world between worlds. Together Spidey and Doc Strange fix the problem, and then everything goes back to the way it was prior to the Clone Saga.

In other words, it's the J.R. "it was all just a dream" ending.

Another choice: Do like DC does. Clean up continuity every few years by destroying a bunch of worlds and merging others.

I suggestedAvery because she worked on theArana series, and I knida like it.
