i think they look good!
TIP: when trying to make diff layers appear to be one (such as the yellow elements of 'ol wolvie) try desaturating the layers and creating another layer to fitting over the others filled with the desired color. then play with the layer blending options. also, be careful using low-rez with hi-rez (background, wolverine). maybe try a 'gaussian blur' on the low rez layer, and play with the contrast to make it appear out of focus intentionally. keep mnippin!

A great manip, and Tom Welling really looks the part. I was never too sure about him on Smallville, facewise, not acting wise. But this pic convinced me.
