Spielberg's Two Cents

Does anyone know what Spielberg thought of Daniel's performance? Craig mentioned in interviews how supportive Steven was of him taking the role, and that he promised to see the movie opening day, as both a huge Bond fan and a friend of Daniel's. But does anyone know what he has said about the performance?

Steve (yeah, close friends of his get to call him Steve) told me that he thought Craig's performance was incredible and that before he did Indiana Jones he had ideas for a Bond movie and is now initiating talks with Babs and Mike about directing Bond 22....Thats just what he told me but he may have been joking.

Myron (yeah, REALLY close friends get to call him by his little known childhood nickname) told me that he actually was joking. He said he ocassionally meets someone he just can't resist taking the piss out of and that he actually is way too busy to even consider directing Bond 22.

I doubt Steven would say anything against Craig who he directed in MUNICH.

So it's kind of a valid, pertinent question since Craig has been directed by Spielberg.

Layer Cake and Munich were both great warm-ups Craig had for Bond.

Problem is, no one talks about Craig in Munich.
