Sony Spin-Off Spin-offable Spider-Man characters

Characters popping up in others' movies is fine. Ideally, since it's all but guaranteed that the mobster characters won't show up in the solo Spidey flicks, they could & should develop the various factions, mercenaries, enforcers, etc.
Tombstone movie featuring Hammerhead confirmed. :o

Uncle Ben
Aunt may
Ned Leeds
Tombstone
Curt conners
Avi Arad documentary.

Just to name a few

The first three are in the MCU. :o
Lizard could work as a werewolf (werelizard?) story.
Last one, I want.

I won't be satisfied until Sony makes that Aunt May movie. :o

I was also hoping to see a movie about Alfred the limo driver from The Amazing Spider-Man. And let's not forget Crane Dad! Sony, are you listening?

Oh no please don’t even joke about that because it makes me think of that mark millar series
Where's my Trouble adaptation, Sony? Get the world talking, Aunt May is Spidey's mom! Everything you knew was a lie!

Come on people, the Sum-buy-oats Universe (SBOU) needs expanding!

But I'd love to not be the only one with (semi)serious suggestions.

We all regret that both Gibbon and Mindworm haven't got their much deserved multi-billion franchises just because being mutants Fox had the rights but sitted their ass on those gold mines.

it really depends, I suppose. I'm not offended at Silver Sable and her Wolfpack having a movie. They can include folks like Rocket Racer, Puma and Prowler on the team.

Would anybody else be up for a superpowered wrestling losers comedy with the likes of Gibbon, Grizzly, Kangaroo I, Kangaroo II, Spot, White Dragon, Lightmaster, Swarm, Looter, Hypno-Hustler (who would obviously be the hero of the story, obviously)?
I have had this idea in various forms with Z list funny Marvel villains in the back of my mind for the last 25 years...

Maybe. The problem here is that I'm not really interested in most of these spin-offs to begin with, especially since these are coming from Sony.

I wouldn't mind something like "the Superior Foes of Spider-Man." But we have no Spider-Man, so...

I too thought about that and, yeah, it would work only in the MCU, you not only need Spidey, but also established superhero and villain communities. Maybe one day...

Pedro Pascal as Tarantula, playes as a terrorist and/or twisted Captain American ersatz. Anyone?

I'm sure that's a Marvel character, not a Sony one.

I do own a couple issues of Solo entirely by accident. I was buying Solo Avengers in a back issue bin and bought Solo by mistake.

Not a whole lot I'd like to see a GOOD solo movie about beyond the 2099 movie...

I haven't seen anyone mention Steel Spider. I remember seeing him appear in a backup story to the Planet of the Symbiotes miniseries. The character apparently debuted as an overweight teenager (more recent cartoon show I think has as just a regular kid wearing a mechanical suit?) and at one point teamed up with D-list villains Toad and Frogman to form a team called the misfits. Of course later appearances of the character don't involve appearing as a kid at all and just a fully grown adult wearing a blue costume with mechanical arms on the back similar to the Tony Stark Spiderman suit that appeared in comics over a decade later. All-in-all this seems to have been a forgotten about character shortly after his comics debut so later comics appearances had as an adult generic superhero that almost seems totally different.
It could be a fun character to add to the Spider-Verse animation movies though.

The Foreigner is an assassin type character that could be sort of interesting. If done the right way, he could show up in a Silver Sable or Black Cat movie.

Overall, not a lot of properties work well on their own I don't think unless Sony is aiming to do something entirely different that they otherwise can't do in a current Spiderman franchise type film. If trying to just make another comics based film, the Market is getting increasingly full of them but I suppose Sony will keep trying as long as they make more money.

Totally forgot about Steel Spider. The Doc Ock idolization and the desire to be both him & Spider-Man and also starts out as some teenager...I'd say he's more than ready for the big leagues.

I feel like Into the Spider-Verse opened up the floodgates for Renew Your Vows, Miles Morales, Ghost Spider and 2099 films which are all likely to happen now.

We're likely getting films based on Kraven's Last Hunt, Black Cat, Silver Sable, Nightwatch, Jackpot, Morbius and Silk as live-action films.

Now as for the other Spider-Man characters who I can see getting their own films, I'd be open to Cardiac, Hybrid, Solo, Spider Woman (Jessica Drew) and Madame Web (Julia Carpenter.) And people can hate me for saying this but I'd also like to see Scarlet Spider.

I'd also like some team-up films based on Maximum Carnage and Spider Island.

Kain I think is an interesting one as well. That's who I have as my avatar. :cwink:
