Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Help Thread)

LOL This game is awesome and it has so many cool new features that i'm loving every second of it but I'm having a problem that's really not a spoiler well I guess it is so here:

There's a part where you go underground to difuse a bomb and I've killed everyone around and I'm trying to difuse this bomb and I can't seem to get the knack of pulling that core out of the bomb or whatever that is. It feels like that scene from Executive Decision. I keep failing and watching the whole city vaporize! When do you hold your breath? I can always snag the thing at the bottom but when I try to bring it up I sparks or something even when it's not hitting the sides. I never have to hold my breath going down usually but going up I get screwed.

Any advice would be appreciated cause this part seems too damn sensitve with the controllers or I'm doing something wrong. I made it this far with no stupid cheat codes or help but this is annoying. Just like trying to defuse the mines earlier in the game. I couldn't do it!!!

There's a pressure gauge at the bottom right hand corner when you pull the detonator out. When that hits zero it's time for another attempt.

It is hard but you'll get the hang of it..basically one analogue stick moves it, and the other keeps it balanced, and try not to go to fast...but try to remember only one analogue stick moves it. Thats what confused me for a while till I figured it out.

Actually just did it. I was holding my breath bringing it up and it would pop each time. I tried it without holding on the way up and it came right out done, then went to coast guard boat which was a nifty little finish. Short but sweet. Now I gotta go back and finish Prey and then start FEAR. Whew. The one kind of mission I truly hate is when you have to cover someone with a sniper rifle from far away, or escort someone any length of distance. i hate those and fortunately none of that in this one except that one little part in the Palace.

I'm gonna trade it in while it's still hot. Almost finished Prey right now too but have to go to work. Next up FEAR and UA.

Yeah, get rid of SC and Prey, both horrible games
FEAR and UA, however, kick ass.

Matter of taste. I loved SC and finished it so I'll trade it in. I'm really enjoying Prey too. I love all the wall walking, the cool weapons, and the wild levels. After Prey I'll try out FEAR. It's sitting on my shelf with UA still in wrapping.

I know it's a matter of taste, that's just my opinion.
But I am glad you'e returning them now while you can get some good money.

^ LOL. I'm still waiting on more details but soon after that thread I started I heard that Nemesis 2 was coming so hopefully they weren't working on just a DD level for that game. I don't think so though...didn't sound like it.
