I pay for what I ate. I don't think its fair that I should have to split the bill for your ribs when all I had was some dry salad.

Any date, I feel I should pay. However if it's a first date and the date ain't going so well and she insists, I'm like fine. And once we're a couple, she pays for a meal every so often doesn't bother me.

If I'm out with a friend we usually just take turns. Whichever of us has got enough to cover the meal will cover it and then the other will return the favor. If it's with a date and I'm going to split the ticket I'd say it'd be best to spilt it at the table so that the date pays for what the date got and I pay for what I got.

With most of my friends, we just alternate. We pay this time, they pay next time, etc. It works out pretty well.

how I judged my dates...

first date, I paid

second date... if she doesn't offer to split, or take the whole thing.. there is no third date

I'd date someone but I don't want to be their feeder. I usually try to pay on dates but if I've been dating someone for a while I don't see any reason why sharing the tab shouldn't happen.

The last time I ate with others, they got upset that I wasn't talking. I then said "When I order a meal that is served hot, I have this weird tendency to eat it when it's hot instead of dicking around and then have lukewarm food."

I always pay exactly what I owe. This day and age most people have debit cards so if I go out to eat with some friends we just ask for seperate bills ahead of time.

no special or occasions or whatever, i dont see why anyone would pay for anything more or less than what they themselves owe.
