The Defenders Squirrel Girl

I would love to see Squirrel Girl, but not here. Give he a short, or a one-shot single episode. Or, if you really want to go insane. . . a short film divided into parts, with each part before the next couple of movies.

It's a matter of time. I don't expect her to appear in the JJ solo show, as the tone probably won't fit, but we can't ignore that fact that the Defenders is in the Marvel universe. By the time the Netflix solo shows are finished, and they've encountered all manner of craziness, squirrel girl might actually seem normal.

Now that Marvel has established itself in the hour long drama format, isn't a half hour comedy show the next logical step?

Seriously though, I think it would be hilarious if in Civil War or A3, Tony is looking through a dossier of possible metahumans when he pauses and says "Squirrel Girl?! Really?! Is that her tail?!?!". But absolutely no follow up.

who would even be willing to portray Squirrel Girl? It's a role that requires you to have a big fluffy tail.

I could see Disney doing an animated movie with her in the vain of Frozen or Brave more so than her appearing in the MCU

I'm reading the graphic novels and they are actually pretty good but I don't like the art style. I don't mind that Squirrel Girl is plump (like a squirrel) but the art is sloppy.

To all those saying that Squirrel Girl is a "joke" character, why? How is she any less legitimate than "Spider Man".

Eh, she's a joke character because she's written as a joke character. Even in the beginning, she wasn't meant to be taken seriously by the reader in the same way a normal superhero is. Since then she's evolved further into being a walking satire and commentary on comics and comic tropes.

Which doesn't mean she's not also a great character. She just has no place in Defenders, as her own native tone is *completely* different.
